I haven't tasted Thai food for months and my boyfriend suggested eating Thai tonight. I was thinking about a safe choice like Simply Thai, but I figured maybe I should try something new and hence I chose Chilli Thai Restaurant. We arrived the restaurant at 9pm but there were still people queuing in front of the restaurant. I haven't tasted Thai food for months and my boyfriend suggested eating Thai tonight. I was thinking about a safe choice like Simply Thai, but I figured maybe I should try something new and hence I chose Chilli Thai Restaurant. We arrived the restaurant at 9pm but there were still people queuing in front of the restaurant. While we were waiting, the waitress approached us, told us that our seat would be ready in a minute and whether we would like to order first. As we had checked the food on the menu earlier while we waited, we ordered straight away. The total waiting time was about 15 minutes, but it was fine as there were a cooling fan outside the restaurant to provide a cool breeze.

The food had started to serve to us before we sat warm our seat. Everything came so promptly, the dishes were all packed together in a small 2-people table. The waiter, seemingly the manager or some sort of higher level staff noticed the scene, pulled and combined the table next to us immediately to give us more space. Very thoughtful of him, I was very impressed.

When the Dong Yum Gon arrived, the waitress immediately served the soup for us immediately. She meticulously distributed the seafood and soup into our bowl. I very much appreciated her effort, but she made me missed the chance to take a photo of the original pot. Seriously they gave a superb generous amount of seafood in the pot! There were octopus, squids, prawns, mussels, mushrooms, tomatoes and herbs. Octopus and squid were chewy, Prawns were at medium size and were very fresh, Mussels were big and fat. Fortunately there is no such thing as too much when it came to nice food, so I was very contented with the overmuch ingredient.

The soup itself was absolutely scrumptious, a very spicy pot indeed. The taste of cilantro and herbs had perfectly permeated the soup and every ingredient it contained. You felt the spiciness on your tongue, but could not control yourself from craving some more into your stomach. We had 4 bowls of soup from the small portion, we wondered how many bowls could the large portions bring. Highly recommended!

2) Stir-Fried Flat Noodles with Beef
This dish could be accompanied by chicken, pork or beef. Since we had the chicken curry, we were choosing between pork and beef but were kinda indifference between the choice. So we asked for the waitress for opinion, she replied with an embarrassed but cute smile, saying they love beef more, so cute! When the dish arrived, I saw no difference from a typical Stir-Fried Flat Noodles with Beef in Hong Kong style, except more ingredients in the dish. After tasting it, I realized the dish was actually sweet along with the saltiness. What I love most about the dish was that the beef which were really nice and tender! No matter they recommended beef over pork. I also love the side ingredients, such as the eggs, the mixed veggie, baby corn and the red carrots. There were also lotus root, which although is sweet and fresh, I personally think its taste did not really pair with the dish.

3) Green Curry with Chicken with Puff Pastry on Chicken Pot
I was really excited about this dish, firstly about the puff pastry, secondly about the cute chicken pot. There were two curry choices, yellow or green. According to the waitress, green is spicier than yellow, so we chose green. The restaurant is smart about pairing puff pastry with the curry, they are a perfect match. The puff pastry was baked just right to give the golden brown colour on the cute chick. When I tilted the edge of the puff pastry and had a peep at the inside, the sudden flow of a rich and nice curry aroma steaming out of the leak almost killed me. Not another second of wait, we started to attack the chicken.

The pot was again very generous with overmuch chicken pieces. There were interesting ingredients such as Thai aubergine eggplant in it. It texture was like baby tomato but were a bit softer. Its real taste was confused by the perfectly permeated curry taste. There were also some eggplants in the pot, but there weren’t any taste on it. The curry sauce was just mildly spicy, very rich, creamy and saturated with coconut taste. It was truly a great dish.

4) Pancake
We had the pancake along with our chicken. The pancake was hot when served and had a nice brown colour. When it comes to pancake, I personally prefer a softer, air-cushioned like texture with lots of layer. The pancake here was not puffed enough, so the texture wasn’t that soft and was on the stiff side.

5) Lychee Smoothie
The Lychee Smoothie was nicely décor with a flower at the side with a bubble tea straw. The texture of the Lychee Smoothie was thick, The taste of lychee was strong and was only mildly sweet. What I love most about the drink was the wooden long spoon which had a small flat spoon base so I could enjoy the smoothie spoon by spoon. The drink was overall just average.

6) Coconut Milk
The coconut milk was really nothing special. There were only a slight touch of coconut taste with it. The only memorable thing was the cute twisted straw.

Overall, I had a very nice dinning experience in the restaurant. The service was great, all the waiters were very friendly and cute. They paid attention to the customer’s needs, gave modest recommendations when needed, clean up the table from time to time and would came over and talk to you occasionally. The food on the other hand were pretty genuine, lots of herbs and thai food were added into the dishes. The portion were more than average, order a portion less if you want to visit the restaurant. There were still several appealing dishes and appetizers available on the menu which I will definitely come back to try them.

星期四補足媽媽節,去左天后搵嘢食,最後見呢間泰出色都多人食喎,咁就入去試下先黎泰式醃蝦柚子沙律,酸酸甜甜幾開胃,醃蝦都唔錯椰子雞湯就黎之前巳經分左四碗,覺得酸左D,奶味都OK既泰式炒雜菜都OK咖哩炒蟹,個汁幾好味,比較挺身,蟹就係比水蟹,肉就唔多,多番D就好喇呢間泰出色係天后黎講都算唔錯,仲見到有人飲紅酒添

唔想係cwb食dinner,行左去天后食街-電氣道搵野食,企係條街唔知食咩好,即刻用手機上openrice睇下邊間多"笑臉",咁啱係正泰出色門口,又有十個"笑臉",咁就食呢間啦!1)海南雞飯-雞夠滑,味道似中式嘅貴妃雞多d,去骨的話更好!油飯唔係好油,雖然雞油味無咁出,但反而合我心意。點雞嘅醬可以辣些少,我唔食得好辣但都覺唔夠辣 跟嘅湯,鹹左些少,料算多,有紅,白蘿蔔同雞肉2)馬拉盞炒通菜-炒得夠惹味,不過就油左d3)炸蝦餅-蝦夠新鮮,夠彈牙,炸得啱啱好,點蝦餅嘅醬爭d,酸d更好4)椰青-唔夠甜,但都ok,起碼裡面d椰子肉都ok厚雖然泰出色未至於「太出色」,但行開呢頭的話,我會再試過嘅!

跟同事到此食晏, 上兩次吃後不斷回味。今次我點了海南雞飯 ($45), 同事點了我上次點的冬陰公雞絲札肉金邊粉 ($40)。海南雞飯雞肉很滑, 附上的醬汁少少辣, 很惹味, 飯 -->ok。另附上冬瓜雞肉湯一碗。冬陰公雞絲札肉金邊粉水準依然, 好味道。另送飲品, 冷熱同價, 午市沒有加一。我們會再來的。

花市人逼逼, 行完不過五點幾, 有點肚餓, 早少少食晚飯.兩個人食晚餐, 叫咗:椰子雞湯:餐牌沒有辣椒仔,(忘記這是泰式餐廳)中計!我生了暗瘡,只好忌口,飲咗少少,味道唔錯,可惜是辣味蓋過了椰子味。咕嚕蝦球:蝦大大隻,酸酸甜甜,好好食!大蝦濕炒金邊粉 : 材料足, 芥蘭和蝦炒得好爽。洗手間十分清潔。整體來說,環境乾淨舒服, 服務態度良好. 食物唔算好油,如果下少一點汁,就更健康。

整體來說,環境乾淨舒服, 服務態度良好. 食物唔算好油,如果下少一點汁,就更健康。

今晚收鋪後同埋auntie係就近既餐廳食飯~我地選擇左電氣道既「泰出式」!三個人點左5餸1飯!!!!!結果當然係食唔晒....要拎走啦1)糯米釀雞翼....d糯米既質地比我想像中"林"...所以我覺得麻麻地2)馬拉盞炒介蘭~好惹味~炒得恰到好處,介蘭爽口唔會太硬~而且唔辣,連唔食辣既朋友都食得到~3)沙嗲串燒....幾ok的.....但比起同區既QQ串燒(非沙嗲),講惹味程度就遜色左少少了4)蝦膏炒飯~比我想像中無咁咸~而且炒得好香好夠火喉!正!!!5)蒜蓉大頭蝦....原本我地係點左另一款蝦架~但朋友食左一啖,就大叫「好大陣番梘水味」!!番梘水?唔係卦~我點左少少黎聞下,的確有好大陣好刺鼻既味...但我又講唔出係咩...於是我地要求換過另一碟(另一個煮法)~個味幾香架~不過可惜呢種蝦唔係爽肉個種,所以....扣左少少分6)一杯絕對叫我失望既「龍眼冰」成餐飯.....其實我尚算滿意既...at least 佢地既waitress態度好好..我相信我會再去幫襯~

原本我地係點左另一款蝦架~
但朋友食左一啖,就大叫「好大陣番梘水味」!!
番梘水?唔係卦~我點左少少黎聞下,的確有好大陣好刺鼻既味...但我又講唔出係咩...於是我地要求換過另一碟(另一個煮法)~
個味幾香架~不過可惜呢種蝦唔係爽肉個種,所以....扣左少少分

6)一杯絕對叫我失望既「龍眼冰」


成餐飯.....其實我尚算滿意既...at least 佢地既waitress態度好好..我相信我會再去幫襯~

今日o係中央圖書館聽完talk, 晏晝去左電氣度周圍行搵野食, 經過左好多間都冇咩心水, 見熱熱地就是但入左呢間餐廳.叫左個午餐, 星洲肥牛喇沙, 記得o係星加波食過之後就一試難忘了, 今日再食, d湯非常香, 有好濃既椰汁味, 除左幾塊肥牛, 仲有魚蛋, 魚片同豆pop各3粒, 仲有半食蛋, 比想像中多餸, 可怕肥牛老左少少...午餐$45冇加一, 包冷/熱飲一杯, 價錢叫ok啦, 因為環境都幾乾淨舒服, 但我由十二點幾食到一點, 竟然一半人都坐唔到, 真係有d奇怪!好味既野下次一定要再食=)

昨晚和女友再到天后搵食,由於女友想食泰國菜,原本想食連鎖式經營的那間,但是我對它沒有好感,而且女友看過其他食評之後亦打消試食的念頭,卻發現這間有六個笑的泰國菜,兩人決定一於去這間!約九時左右來到,約八成滿!由於之前看過其他食評,很快就決定了點甚麼,二人合共點了:泰式炸蝦卷、泰式炒雜菜、原盅椰青海鮮炒飯和焗酥皮青咖哩(鮮雞)。泰式炸蝦卷:春卷皮包住蝦膠和原隻蝦再炸,很香口、很脆,蝦膠和蝦很爽口,再加上酸甜汁,很好食。泰式炒雜菜:一般,但幾好食,蔬菜很綠,不過似蒜蓉炒雜菜多些。原盅椰青海鮮炒飯:其實像椰汁燴飯多些,但非常好食,椰汁很香很甜,連飯一起吃很好味,而且海鮮有有蝦球和魷魚等,幾足料,不過很滯!焗酥皮青咖哩(鮮雞):青咖哩很香但不是太辣,再把酥皮沾上青咖哩汁,風味一絕!其實這個菜應該很好食,可惜汁多了些和(鮮)雞件並沒有雞味,最後這個菜食剩了少許!不知道是這間餐廳份量多還是我和女友食量細,我倆食完可能太飽,我女友飽到胃痛。奉勸二人來到不要點太多野食!

約九時左右來到,約八成滿!由於之前看過其他食評,很快就決定了點甚麼,二人合共點了:泰式炸蝦卷、泰式炒雜菜、原盅椰青海鮮炒飯和焗酥皮青咖哩(鮮雞)。
泰式炸蝦卷:春卷皮包住蝦膠和原隻蝦再炸,很香口、很脆,蝦膠和蝦很爽口,再加上酸甜汁,很好食。
泰式炒雜菜:一般,但幾好食,蔬菜很綠,不過似蒜蓉炒雜菜多些。
原盅椰青海鮮炒飯:其實像椰汁燴飯多些,但非常好食,椰汁很香很甜,連飯一起吃很好味,而且海鮮有有蝦球和魷魚等,幾足料,不過很滯!
焗酥皮青咖哩(鮮雞):青咖哩很香但不是太辣,再把酥皮沾上青咖哩汁,風味一絕!其實這個菜應該很好食,可惜汁多了些和(鮮)雞件並沒有雞味,最後這個菜食剩了少許!
不知道是這間餐廳份量多還是我和女友食量細,我倆食完可能太飽,我女友飽到胃痛。奉勸二人來到不要點太多野食!

15/8/2008 同個朋友去左泰出色食晚飯, 上網search到呢間泰國餐廳, 見得5個人寫食評, 但全部都係好味笑臉, 所以都想試試~我同朋友2個人叫左3樣野:1) 蝦春卷: 見食評都話蝦春卷好味, 所以一黎就已經諗到要叫, 食物唔係等好耐, 蝦春卷真係好好味, 脆卜卜, 好似食薯片, 隻蝦好大隻, 好有口感~~~熱同凍左一樣咁好食~~2) 泰式炒雜菜: 好味, 唔會太咸太濃, 味道岩岩好~3) 香茅雞翼扎肉金邊粉: 有3隻雞翼, 3片扎肉, 清清地, 都算不錯, 雞翼好大隻~環境: 我地坐卡位, 都幾舒服, 7pm 開始多人~~~服務: 不錯, 老闆親自落單, 時不時幫我地斟水~~

3) 香茅雞翼扎肉金邊粉: 有3隻雞翼, 3片扎肉, 清清地, 都算不錯, 雞翼好大隻~

環境: 我地坐卡位, 都幾舒服, 7pm 開始多人~~~

服務: 不錯, 老闆親自落單, 時不時幫我地斟水~~

More and more restaurants are opening up in Tin Hau, not all are up to my standard though...Today I tried this thai restaurant, ordered the Pineapple fried rice, 炒通菜, 椰青,海南鸡They all taste really good! It gave me a little surprise since this restaurant seems to be quite new and doesn't have an established reputation.if they remains the standard of their food then this is going to be another popular restaurant in Tin Hau11

做左潛水member咁耐今次都係第一篇真正寫食評~當然係要搵個有意義D架啦~今日我個影要見工,放左學就去join埋佢啦,著住suit好熱(不過又好型)~去到天后,本來想試華姐,不過又未肚餓,周圍行左一陣,好熱o既時間就睇中左呢間環境唔錯o既泰國菜,一於入去試一試佢~睇左一輪,叫左:(1) 冬蔭蝦金邊粉($4x):呢個係我叫的,都幾唔錯,湯底香料算足,椰汁味好香﹗金邊粉好多﹗不過我覺得可以再酸一D~整體唔辣,不過中途食中左條青辣椒仔,好辣﹗(2) 炸蝦春卷($4x):熱辣辣咁炸起上桌﹗脆卜卜好香口~又唔油膩~食到最後凍左都介係卜卜脆架~入面好大隻蝦~呵~好味﹗(3) 大蝦炒金邊粉($5x﹖):我個影叫的~冇試到~不過睇落都唔錯~被佢清碟了﹗(4) 椰青($20):椰青水係清甜的,不過真係唔夠凍,冰冰凍就perfect喇~入面D椰肉當然都俾我地清理左﹗白雪雪好嫩滑o既椰肉,好後生喎~個椰青~舖頭幾大,不過人唔算多,係後來陸陸續續有D客,環境唔錯,幾舒服~~不過門口位有時開住就會有陣熱風。總括來說幾適合坐低食完飯慢慢傾下偈~清一色全女班的侍應態度都幾好,會加水又會問我地駛唔駛拎碗share食

去到天后,本來想試華姐,不過又未肚餓,周圍行左一陣,好熱o既時間就睇中左呢間環境唔錯o既泰國菜,一於入去試一試佢~睇左一輪,叫左:

(1) 冬蔭蝦金邊粉($4x):呢個係我叫的,都幾唔錯,湯底香料算足,椰汁味好香﹗金邊粉好多﹗不過我覺得可以再酸一D~整體唔辣,不過中途食中左條青辣椒仔,好辣﹗

(2) 炸蝦春卷($4x):熱辣辣咁炸起上桌﹗脆卜卜好香口~又唔油膩~食到最後凍左都介係卜卜脆架~入面好大隻蝦~呵~好味﹗

(3) 大蝦炒金邊粉($5x﹖):我個影叫的~冇試到~不過睇落都唔錯~被佢清碟了﹗

(4) 椰青($20):椰青水係清甜的,不過真係唔夠凍,冰冰凍就perfect喇~入面D椰肉當然都俾我地清理左﹗白雪雪好嫩滑o既椰肉,好後生喎~個椰青~

舖頭幾大,不過人唔算多,係後來陸陸續續有D客,環境唔錯,幾舒服~~不過門口位有時開住就會有陣熱風。總括來說幾適合坐低食完飯慢慢傾下偈~

清一色全女班的侍應態度都幾好,會加水又會問我地駛唔駛拎碗share食物。

估唔到寫完第一集之後, 第二集咁快又出街啦! 上一次光顧是2個禮拜前, 今次邀請泰國親戚一起品嘗地道泰菜兼預祝父親節!據上次經驗, 餐廳門口是可以泊車的, 所以今次連泊車錢都可以慳返 (呵呵呵), 當然我並不是違例泊車啊! 响港島區餐廳門外可以迫車的地方實在廖廖可數呢!!走到餐廳門口, 看見一位二十出頭, 穿上鮮橙制服的 ”靚仔” 熱情招待我們入座! 我…被這位小帥哥吸引住了!! 除了因為他長有一副明星臉外, 他親切燦爛的笑容令人一見難忘! 菠蘿炒飯 – 今次上碟無上次咁靚, 而且忘了放提子乾! 但味道同上次差唔多!

油酥餅 Roti Bread – 正! 正! 正! 但價錢响2個禮拜之內由 $8 三件起到 $20 三件!! 但我倒覺得新價尚算合理, 因為每件都差唔多有半份三文治咁大!

香芒椰汁糯米飯 – 今次叫2份, 首推綠糯米, 濃郁新鮮的椰香味簡直是難以抗拒的誘惑! 雖然最後食呢樣甜品時已經好飽, 但都食都 lam lam 脷!

仲有試咗下列菜式:

泰式炸魚餅 – 我覺得全晚最唔好食嘅一道菜! 有d魚腥味
!

焗酥皮黃咖喱海鮮 – 係我泰國親戚話全晚最好食嘅一道菜!! 酥皮好香, 內裡的咖喱偏甜, 無セ辣味, 各樣海鮮, 包括班塊, 蝦, 帶子都好鮮又夠入味! 但我都係鍾意上次點嘅綠咖喱多d。

泰色炒金邊粉 – d粉炒得好靚, 夠乾食! 但味道欠奉… 感覺太清淡, 不咸, 不甜, 不酸, 不辣!

香葉炒豬肉 – 用咗好多泰式香料炒, 好香. 就咁食可能偏咸, 但配飯食一流!

原個椰青海鲜炒飯 – 上枱前, 離遠已聞到椰青清香味, 配料新鲜飯夠香, 最可惜係d飯”林”得濟! 炒得唔夠乾! 最搞笑嘅係待應還另外给了我一碗裝得滿滿的炒飯, 佢話因為太多, 個椰青裝唔晒!

燒魷魚 – 味道一般

粉絲海鮮沙律 – 少辣, 味道好fresh, 又醒胃!

馬拉盞通菜 – d菜抄得剛好, 味道一流!

椰汁啫喱冰 – 唔係好記得嗰名… 有d似椰汁珍多冰, d啫喱好qq, 糖水又好香椰子味!!

食到尾聲時, 泰藉大廚親自出來道謝 (其實唔講,單睇佢外表都知佢係擔大旗,健碩身型加大肚腩,成個大廚款) 他還與我的泰藉親戚傾了一會! 大家同聲同氣, 份外有親切感吧
!
原來大廚就是餐廳的老闆, 漂亮的老闆娘當然負責收銀啦! 仲有小帥哥(仔仔)閒時會充當waiter! 非常溫馨幸福! 是一間很有heart的餐廳
!

Daddy早陣子經過呢度, 見到開左好幾間新嘅餐廳都幾多人排隊。所以星期日晚揀左嚟呢間泰菜一試。(後來問老闆, 呢間餐廳開咗成半年啦)餐廳裝修雅緻, 播放輕快泰文歌, 近門口仲有個projector不停播眏泰國風景, 增添不少泰國風情!3個人叫左:1.泰式明爐魚- 冬蔭功湯底 ($128) 用嘅係烏頭魚, 先將條魚煎過先上爐, 賣相令人垂涎三尺, 配上草菇, 蕃茄同埋傳統泰國香料, 包括香葉, 甲猜, 青檸汁, 檸檬葉, 蒜頭, 薑, 莞茜, 青辣椒, 香茅, 南薑。 再用慢火㷫住條魚, 令到d配料慢慢滲入條魚度, 再加上惹味的冬蔭功湯底, 越食越入味, 越食越滋味 ----- “超讚讚讚讚讚讚” !! 是一道泰菜極品!! “正! 正! 正!”P.S. 上條魚時, 仲有一碗冬蔭功湯另外上, 可以一邊㷫住條魚一邊加入湯. 由此可見廚師嘅心思!2. 原個菠籮海鮮炒飯 ($55) 炒飯粒粒香, 海鮮配料新鮮。 鋪响面頭嘅豬肉鬆好入味同香口。 又一水準之作!!3. 泰式蝦春卷 ($48) 春卷炸到金黃色, 配上中蝦, 入口卟卟脆, 加埋附上嘅酸甜汁, 好味!4. 焗酥皮青咖喱雞 ($78)

用嘅係烏頭魚, 先將條魚煎過先上爐, 賣相令人垂涎三尺, 配上草菇, 蕃茄同埋傳統泰國香料, 包括香葉, 甲猜, 青檸汁, 檸檬葉, 蒜頭, 薑, 莞茜, 青辣椒, 香茅, 南薑。 再用慢火㷫住條魚, 令到d配料慢慢滲入條魚度, 再加上惹味的冬蔭功湯底, 越食越入味, 越食越滋味 ----- “超讚讚讚讚讚讚” !! 是一道泰菜極品!! “正! 正! 正!”

P.S. 上條魚時, 仲有一碗冬蔭功湯另外上, 可以一邊㷫住條魚一邊加入湯. 由此可見廚師嘅心思!

2. 原個菠籮海鮮炒飯 ($55)

炒飯粒粒香, 海鮮配料新鮮。 鋪响面頭嘅豬肉鬆好入味同香口。 又一水準之作!!

3. 泰式蝦春卷 ($48)

春卷炸到金黃色, 配上中蝦, 入口卟卟脆, 加埋附上嘅酸甜汁, 好味!

4. 焗酥皮青咖喱雞 ($78) 加
油酥餅 Roti Bread ($8三件)

盛放咖喱雞嘅鴨仔器皿好cutie, 相信所有女士見到都會愛上! 上枱時焗起嘅酥皮好香。 切開後, 又聞到一陣青咖喱味, 未食已有視覺同埋嗅覺享受
! 再試吓d雞, 用嘅係新鮮瘦鷄, 無セ肉, 但勝在夠雞味 (感覺有d似印尼走地雞嘅味道)! 又於d咖喱汁實在太好食, 所以要叫一客油酥餅嚟”lam”d汁!!
我真係估唔到連油酥餅都可以做到咁出色… 燒得好香好鬆化, 係我响HK食過之中最正嘅!!

5. 泰色炒雜菜 ($42)
呢道菜比起以上菜式略遜。 並不是因為佢唔好食, 而係其它菜式實在太出色了!

6. 甜品叫左香芒椰汁糯米飯

糯米夠煙靱, 特別之處係除左用平時經常食到嘅白糯米同埋黑糯米外, 仲有綠糯米! d綠糯米加入左班蘭葉 (Pandan), 令本身已經好香嘅椰汁再推上另一高峰, 勁!!

三個人食咁多嘢埋單盛恵$450
, 用咁嘅價錢食到咁有水準嘅泰菜, 好抵食呀!
下次一定會叫埋嬸嬸嚟食 (我嬸嬸係泰國人)

呢間餐廳真如其名 --- “泰出色”
