Being made in and delivered from Japan, when we bought it, it was frozen and it had to be defrosted for an hour before serving. The whole roll cake tasted absolutely rich in matcha. Overall, it was really a very special roll cake. However, the cost of $290 each was really too expensive. Good to try it once and for all.
