I was so tired after work so I suggested to have all-you-can-eat hotpot and my friend took me to this restaurant which is located at the busiest street in Mong Kok. The restaurant was busy with lots of people. My friend ordered the soup right away, it was the laksa with sea clams. Me and my friend were so hungry so we ordered some sashimi and it came very soon. Me and my friend were so hungry so we ordered some sashimi and it came very soon. It was nicely presented and everything was fresh and sweet. I love the whelk slices and yellow tail the best, their texture was chewy but soft and delicious.
While finishing off the sashimi, the staff helped us to put the seafood platter on top of the soup for steaming. It took around 8 minutes to cook the whole platter. It included scallops, abalone, lobster, razor clams, fish, shrimps, clams and crab legs. Actually after eating these, we were very full already. The scallops and abalone were soft to chew, the lobster was meaty, the razor clams were sweet and juicy, the fish was soft and yummy, the shrimps were fresh and the crab legs were a bit hard to get the meat out. Overall, I found them very yummy, I like the way that they steamed it with lots of garlic and vermicelli.
We also ordered extra food for steaming, the fish belly was bony but very smooth and soft to eat. The pork pieces were spicy and soft. The squid with tofu was alright, the tofu was smooth and the squid was easy to chew.
After that, we had hot pot. We didn't order that much even through it was all you can eat. The beef was beefy and the shrimp was quite fresh and sweet. I like the shrimp paste, it was smooth and full of flavour.
