I also had the set dinner but at that time they were on a promotion (this was quite long ago) - but still came out to approx. $900 per person incl 1 drink (except tea/coffee) and incl 10% service.The restaurant is extremely posh and holds itself to be quite remarkable. The view is impressive, as is travelling up all those floors to arrive at the restaurant. However, once inside, the first thing that strikes you as not being 6* is the staff. They are courteous and polite, but they do not have top-class waiting skills. They do not ask how you are. They also seem to treat Westerners better than Chinese/Asian people.
The food itself isn't quite 6*.... just 5* (I rank it out of 5*, so 6* means internationally excellent standard; 5* means locally excellent). For example, the soup was great, but why was the caviar/scallop stuck at the bottom?
The main course was ok - the meat was tender, but one could taste that it was not Grade AA++ meat, just A+. The cooking skills are excellent, but not unique.
Overall: For the prices they charge, this restaurant is only good for trying once in your lifetime. Such a pity - I would have given a happy face if not for the prices. It is not, unfortunately, excellent enough to return. The high marks I award below are done so because I do agree that it is a great restaurant.... but it is just not special enough to want to go back again.
