My boyfriend introduced me to this old Italian diner that he has came with his family since he was 10. Old, Italian diner decor; lighting is dim; the place is clean and the staff is very friendly and polite.We ordered the set dinner for 2.The bread was normal... cold, soft center with a hard crust. The bread was normal... cold, soft center with a hard crust. The lobster bisque tasted okay, wasn't anything special but has a few bites of seafood.
When the salad came, I was very surprised. It was huge! It was nice, the mango is fresh and sweet. Both the salad and duck breast were cooked fine. After we were half full already, then came the steak.
This time, there was only one plate with 2 pieces of steak on it. They were the size of my palm. To be honest, I was hoping for a better quality of steak. The size could've been a little bit bigger, and I think too much baking soda was applied to it and it lacked flavor. But Thank God for the mustard sauce, it saved the dish. But with this set dinner price, I think it's reasonable. If I order just the steak itself next time, I hope they will cook me a better piece of steak.
The seafood penne was average, definitely lots of seafood, but I thought the tomato sauce could be richer and the penne boiled for a minute or two longer.
But since the price was reasonable and the service was great. I will definitely come back again and try their pizza. I see quite a few takeaway order of pizza.
