On a busy Saturday, my wife wanted to go to Citygate outlets to do some shopping since we were not able to travel this year. We planned to eat first before starting our shopping. Moon Lok Chiu Chow was located inside Citygate outlets, far behind the main entrance. They served dim sum as well as Teochew cuisine. Shortly after we were seated, they served us a plate of snacks consisting of sliced cucumber and fungus. They were crunchy and chewy, appetizing as well.
Stir fried pork ribs in fresh orange sauce - This dish was a pleasant surprise, as it was done nicely. Pork ribs were cooked till juicy and chewy, with strong orange taste as it absorbed the essence of the orange sauce.
Half poached and half pan-fried threadfin - The soup was tasty and flavourful, with slight sour taste. Fish was cooked till soft and smooth, able to taste the freshness.
Red date jelly with lotus seeds - This dessert was very fragrant, able to smell red date from afar. It was served hot, chewy and with lotus seeds in it.
