Shet Shan Bing Teng is an ice room with over 60 years of history in Sham Shui Po. My mom used to go their often when she went to school in the neighborhood. Tea set $68 for two to share included fried chicken wings, fruit salad, fries and cheesecake. The wings were dry and crunchy. Kids would definitely love the sweetened fruits and salted fries. Didn't imagine having cheesecake there but it did suit the theme of a "tea set".Red bean shaved ice - must-have in an ice room! Not too sweet with a go

Red bean shaved ice - must-have in an ice room! Not too sweet with a good amount of red bean paste.

My mom picked the luxury choice of creamy seafood baked rice with 1/2 lobster, sole, plenty of squid, shrimps and mushrooms. The fried rice was the best part - the grains were chewy but separate enough from each other that I could taste their texture.

It is so rare that a restaurant can stand for decades in the competitive HK market. If I have the chance to eat there again, I'll definitely try the ice room classics.
