Contrary to my usual routine, this year I go for Western cuisine for Valentine’s Day dinner, assuming that the restaurant would have their usual menu still available. When we come to Venedia Grand Caffe in Central, unfortunately, there is only the Valentine’s Menu ($980 each) and we have to choose that.The first course is Lobster Tartare, with the chopped-up lobster meat on top of a foam made from bell peppers and tomatoes, with some homemade pickled vegetables on top. The first course is Lobster Tartare, with the chopped-up lobster meat on top of a foam made from bell peppers and tomatoes, with some homemade pickled vegetables on top. The acidity of the vegetables gives freshness and vibrancy to the delicate taste of the lobster meat, while the foam soft and delicious. Quite nice.

The second course is Pan Seared Hokkaido Scallop. On top of the seared scallops are the Jerusalem artichoke chips which gives a contrast of crisp texture, finishing with a tarragon and caviar sauce, which has nice buttery taste and good match with the umami taste of the scallops. A bit too simple though on the presentation.

The third course is Risone Pasta. My favourite dish on the night, this pasta is like long-grained rice, with al dente texture, and the mixed seafood and the stock adding wonderful flavours to the pasta. With some smoked salmon roes to enhance savoury and umami, and a touch of lemon zest for fragrance. It is very good.

I have chosen Lamb Saddle Milanese Style for the fourth course, where the thinly-hammered lamb meat is coated with bread crumbs before deep-frying, having a crunchy crust while keeping the lamb not dried up. With baby broccoli on the side, the chef has prepared some Dijon mustard mayo to match with the course. Decent.

For my wife, she has chosen Slow Cooked Toothfish. The fish fillet is soft and tender, with the clams and potato sauce flavourful, together with some purple cauliflower which adds to the bite and also a nice presentation of colour. I would pick this over the lamb saddle.

The fifth and final course is Two Chocolate Mousse Cake and Strawberry Sauce. The cake is made into a heart shape to celebrate the day, not too sweet and quite good in taste. The strawberry sauce dotted on the plate however is not exactly very artistically done. The freeze-dried strawberry pieces on top of the cake are too chewy also. Only so-so.

Service is reasonable, nothing fancy or memorable. The bill on the night is $2,445 and honestly over-priced. In a way this again proves to me that my practice of going to non-Western restaurants in such festivals are still a smart move, and I should remember this as another lesson learnt.

同朋友兩位女士冇book位12:00入去餐廳好彩仲有一張枱,期間不斷有人入嚟午餐,所以午膳時間強烈建議book枱穩陣啲。set lunch有兩種, two courses $388 , three courses $438,好多西餐廳如果主菜選擇牛扒都要加錢,呢度嘅牛扒唔使,所以就試咗牛扒。牛扒當然唔會expect 好大件,但係勝在厚身,同埋真係做到medium Rare,肉質都好好味。頭盤嘅smoked Salmon好新鮮, beetroot Sauce好特別,甜甜地,值得試。餐前麵包係Soudough,枱面有Olive oil提供,但就冇 balsamic vinegar a,想食嘅可以要求。聽講呢度嘅甜品唔錯,不過我同朋友都想飲咖啡,所以選擇加錢要咖啡。雖然中環食嘢普遍都預咗係貴,不過如果set lunch包埋咖啡就更好。餐廳服務員工都友善嘅,不過就唔係好細心,唔會主動問你有咩需要,例如兩次都要自己再問攞黑胡椒,如果可以上餐嘅時候提供埋就最好。同埋通常食牛扒都會問你要唔要芥辣?雖然我自己唔食,不過覺得都係應該要Offer俾客人。所以服務可以再好啲。

- **吞拿魚醬牛仔薄片**(Vitello Tonnato)

以為係生既牛仔肉,原來係熟既,比想像中好食太多,牛仔肉片既細嫩,搭配濃郁吞拿魚醬與酸豆,口感豐富,展現意大利北部冷盤的細膩風味。好想食多一碟配個sour dough~~~~再配杯白酒



- **瑪格麗塔薄餅**(Margherita Pizza)

手工薄餅麵糰、酸甜適中的番茄醬、新鮮莫扎瑞拉芝士,簡單而經典,將意大利傳統風味發揮到極致。蕃茄仔都好甜 點解甘濃味?

之前一直都有嚟幫襯,但而家換咗廚師,食物水準下降咗,有點失望,味道同口感菜式都一般,感覺這個價錢,可以有更多更好嘅選擇。今日叫咗個紅蝦扁意粉,意粉感覺冇味道,紅蝦新鮮,始終醬汁係冇滲透喺裏面,而且意粉嘅硬度口感冇咁好。同埋個叫左和牛,結果係失望嘅。一啲特別都冇,只有黃牛嘅味道,服務非常之好,而且好細心,亦都去了解我對食物嘅睇法。交通非常之方便,旁邊就已經有地鐵站。環境仍然係咁靚,打卡影相好地方,而且衛生乾淨。

This place used to be decent but deteriorated quite rapidly over the 6 months or so. Can get much better value for money in terms of both food and service elsewhere in Central. The male server had the audacity to address my clients as "next?" as he was taking orders. A 3 course lunch took an hour and 45mins to complete despite several requests to speed up service. It was also my first time being called by the same restaurant I am sitting within, telling me I was late for my reservation...  Seems

The food was average and the low ceiling means it was noisy during the lunch hour rush.  This might be an acceptable place if there is no where else available nearby, but it would not recommend this venue for business or casual lunches. I personally would not go back.

一間充滿意大利式嘅高級餐廳,每一次都好驚喜好滿意,佢嘅Tiramisu非常之好食,同外邊嘅係唔同嘅,仲有佢嘅紅蝦意粉,非常出色,蝦嘅味道非常之濃郁,浸滿喺意粉裏面,食落去嘅口感非常豐富,而且有層次感,仲有個魚子醬意粉,滿滿嘅魚子醬味道,大滿足呀,加上一杯紅酒,美酒佳餚實在係不可缺少。交通非常方便,喺中環嘅中心點,而且地鐵站就係隔離。環境非常之靚,食物水準超高,服務又好,仲好細心打卡慶祝好地方,所以我推薦俾大家。

Here had a beautiful atmosphere and convenient location. The service was excellent, the food was just average. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't very crowded, which was nice. I mainly wanted to try their red prawn linguine and celebrate my birthday with their Tiramisu. Overall, it was a decent dining experience, and it was a great place to enjoy a meal with my bestie.

My partner and I have a weakness for seafood linguine, so when we saw that Venedia Grancaffe had a red prawn linguine on the menu, we had to try it. The hosts were extremely hospitable and polite, and were always very attentive. The decor is very lavish and upmarket, which is also a great representation of the quality of their food. The hosts were extremely hospitable and polite, and were always very attentive. The decor is very lavish and upmarket, which is also a great representation of the quality of their food. Dishes were brought out and presented immaculately with great care taken to make every plate perfect.
We ordered the Sicilian Red Prawn Linguine, Iberico Pork Loin, Seabass, Potato Gratin and finally, their signature Tiramisu. The prawns were so flavourful and juicy. The pork and sea bass melted in our mouths, and the tiramisu was so decadent and moreish. The flavour profiles have definitely been well thought out and each component complements the others. 10/10! We loved it here and will definitely be back again soon!

去到中環嗰間意大利餐廳,一入去就覺得好有味道🍴。首先食咗個有機菜園沙律,啲藝术家菜心、四季豆同蘆筍新鮮得滯,食落去爽口又開胃。dressing仲有自家製嘅無花果樹葉精華,淡淡果香夾雜堅果味,真係清新得嚟唔膩口🥗。再嘆咗個龍蝦意粉,意粉嘅質感煮得岩岩好,唔會太硬或者過腍,配上好味道嘅龍蝦肉,真系好飽足!同桌嘅朋友食嘅羊架都唔差,煎得外脆內嫩,個茄子酸醬好惹味,賣相同味道都一流。整體感覺,呢度好有大都會嘅風格,又唔會太拘謹,服務員都和藹可親,有個愉快嘅下午。👍

My company held a Christmas dinner at this Italian restaurant conveniently located in the centre of Central. The decoration and atmosphere are pleasing. The staff served us in a private area with two long tables (12 + 15) for a total of 27 persons, pre-dinner cocktail with canapes. We enjoyed a tailored 3-course menu priced at $1,080+10% / person. 平時經過路面都覺得佢哋裝修好靚, 好有外國feel, 今日終於得閒去食個long lunch! 我哋叫咗兩個lunch set, 有一個頭盤加一個main頭盤方面我哋叫咗一個水牛芝士同埋一個牛肉他他 味道中規中舉未見有太大驚喜main我哋就揀咗佢哋最出名嘅紅蝦手工意粉, 麵質食落煙韌,食得出係新鮮做嘅意粉, 加上紅蝦醬食落香味濃👍🏻好食😋同埋烤雞, 外皮加上香料 食落好有風味, 可惜 肉質未夠嫩滑重點一提係佢哋嘅碟都好靚😍令到食嘢嘅時候心情大好, 好適合情侶拍拖或者食返個long lunch!
