Had lunch at one of our preferred spots near our home today (April 10th), as my toddler niece was with us today, we ordered a pasta and asked for the poached egg to be on the side (the raw parts of the poached eggs are not the best for kids at such a young age). When the pasta came, the egg was on top of the pasta and soaked in, so we kinda mentioned that we asked for it to be on the side given that the kid was going to have it. They took it back into the kitchen and basically just scooped what they could off the egg out and placed it into a small bowl and served it back to us. As we thought it was pointless to tell them again by this point, we salvaged the pasta that was not soaked in the eggs for my niece (50% ish).
Upon paying the bill, I kindly gave them a suggestion to not just scoop the egg out and consider that job done next time, in which the server not only refused to admit they did anything wrong but responded by saying “you should’ve told us to cook the egg fully”.... and that was the moment I decided to write a review
Even if you don’t want to admit you’re wrong, at least don’t turn around and blame it back on the customer! Shouldn’t that be covered in Service 101?
