To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 見到富臨推出“阿拉斯加蟹套餐” 包4斤半蟹同埋其他菜式都吸引,立即相約好友一行12人一齊食 12位套餐,第一道主菜就係白烚阿拉斯加蟹,見到只蟹大家滿心歡喜諗住一定多肉又鮮味,點知隻蟹係完整完全無剪開/斬件就上枱,侍應只係放低兩把較剪比我哋自己剪開只蟹,拎起把較剪就發覺佢好污糟,我哋要用熱水抺先可以用,一剪只蟹就立即有好多水流出嚟,只蟹無乜肉,簡直係水蟹一只。我哋無諗過只蟹單點都要$398/斤,套餐只蟹話有 4斤半起,單價都過仟,結果係比水蟹客食仲有我哋明明係 12人套餐,點知到上糯米飯既時候,份量係例牌多少少,我哋立即問待應係咪比錯 6 人份量,佢就話無份幾多人,一個套餐就係一碟,跟住我哋再搵部長問一問,佢話可以加反多少少畀我的,天呀!好似我哋好貪心甘,明明係12人套餐點會係一人都食唔到一碗糯米飯?最後到甜品桂花糕仲離譜,待應望都唔望就行過放低一碟只有六件嘅桂花糕畀我哋,我哋簡直呆咗唔可以接受,直接行出去櫃檯再搵部長理論,佢回覆應該係有12件,跟住佢親自入去廚房重新攞過一碟12件畀我哋。真係冇諗過咁大間酒樓都亂嚟。以後都唔會再去呢間酒樓食晚飯之前食蟹都係去 “x港” 集團食,一直都好高
