To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 這次用餐經驗令人難忘,本身想簡簡單單與屋企人食餐便飯,結果令人失望。首先,餐廳環境頗污糟,經理安排入坐的枱面有垃圾未清,枱布亦有點黑色污漬。再談談服務態度。服務人員的態度實在令人無法接受,冷漠且缺乏禮貌,完全沒有讓客人感到受到尊重和重視的感覺,落單等了十多分鐘才有人幫手,其後追單更是一直推卸責任,完全無心解決。除此之外,上菜速度也是一大問題。等待的時間實在太長,讓人感到無比焦躁。無論是前菜還是主菜,都需要花費過長的時間等待。這種緩慢的服務速度讓我以為在食法國大餐。我叫了5碟菜,落單30分鐘才有第一碟菜上,每碟菜又相隔十多分鐘才到,簡簡單單一餐飯食了差不多兩個多小時。最令人失望的是餸菜的味道和口感。菜色看起來本身已不太吸引,味道亦十分普通,甚至有些菜色難以下嚥。部分餸菜的烹調方式和搭配也讓人感到困惑,缺乏新意和創意。芥蘭煲的菜全是渣,豬肉碎甚至有點發臭,完全無法下肚。落單時經理說套餐的湯是姬松茸湯,然而菜到時又變成了菜干湯。總的來說,這次用餐經驗並不盡如人意。服務態度差、上菜速度極慢以及餸菜難以下嚥,這些問題都需要餐廳認真反思和改進。希望餐廳能夠從這次的反饋中吸取教訓,提升服務品質,讓顧
