We enjoyed a Chiuchow feast in Yau Ma Tei to pre-celebrate this year's Dragon Boat Festival. It's a newly furnished and brightly lit resto, that serves delicious and authentic Chiuchow & Dai Pai Dong dishes. 春菜腩肉湯I'd give BOTH thumbs up to our soup. It's truly reinvigorating to drink this pork belly and spring veggies soup, free of MSG, full of savoury umami, together boiled with dried shrimps, capsicum, garlic and white pepper. 九肚魚南瓜烙Deep fried pumpkin and fish pancake was a VERY creative twist

九肚魚南瓜烙
Deep fried pumpkin and fish pancake was a VERY creative twist to the traditional Chiuchow oyster pancake. The colour alone was enough to make me drool, the pumpkin batter was lightly sweet and smooth, paired so well with one of my favourite fish- bombay duck. Literally the MVP of the night!

荔芋滑雞煲
Creamy taro & chicken pot was a rice killer, we couldn't resist ordering bowls of rice to go with the bubbling creamy coconuty white sauce, this is my type of comfort food right there. Taro and chicken were properly fried before braising in the sauce, yum!
