Came by for lunch the other day. Was expecting a huge lunch rush right at 11:30 am; thus arrived at 10:45 am and was surprisingly the first in line! The hostess and the rest of the restaurant staff was ready to deal with the crowds with a good queuing system. They had each one of the waiters wait at the door for the hostess to bring each guest to their table.Started off with the signature xlb which was good. They had each one of the waiters wait at the door for the hostess to bring each guest to their table.Started off with the signature xlb which was good. The skin was thin and the soup inside was plentiful. The meat inside was slightly overcooked and a tad plain.
Moved on to the black truffle xlb and the xlbs came out zesty hot and the meat was much more flaovrful. ...this one did cost 3x the signature ones!
Finished off with the braised beef brisket noodle soup which was good. The soup was okay but the noodles were over-cooked. The beef brisket quality was good. Nice and soft.Service at the restaurant was good, on point with a Michelin 1 star rating for 2013.
