I tried to make a reservation for 16 persons on May 13th (as this is my relative's birthday and she also celebrated in this restaruant last year). The manager received my call and marked down the name and time accordingly. I think the booking is almost completed. He suddenly asked me what is the puropse of booking their restuarant (is there of any particular function). Firstly I assume he would like to prepare us a birthday cake or else .....). I tried to make a reservation for 16 persons on May 13th (as this is my relative's birthday and she also celebrated in this restaruant last year). The manager received my call and marked down the name and time accordingly. I think the booking is almost completed. He suddenly asked me what is the puropse of booking their restuarant (is there of any particular function). Firstly I assume he would like to prepare us a birthday cake or else .....). Finally I knew that he advised us not to make any noise to disturb other clients. I then felt very unhappy as we have been visited this restaurant very often. We also have discipline while staying with this restaurant. How come he could have this rude attitude and he is the manager of the restaurant. I don't understand why he raised such an impolite questions to customer.
Nowadays most H.K. people seldom out for dinner, it's so great to have a table for 16 persons. I still don't understand why the manager asked such a question. If the restaurant is not welcome for lots of people, why they have a big table for 12 persons. I also like to mention that this manager named "STEPHEN" and he is a senior manager with Island and working for long time.
