First of all, I would say, Fung Shing is the best restaurant which I would vote so far. Remeber when I was young, my father usually brought us to the one in Causeway Bay, which is the location of Regal Hotel now. The food was so unforgetable. After that restaurant closed down and also we knew that the chef and boss opened another one in North Point, then we stick with them until now. By the way, I am the 3rd generation who eat their food in our family.If say the food is nice, I would not say No
If say the food is nice, I would not say No at all. However, recently ( in this 2 years), the service level is totally depreiciated, and make me totally disappointed.
Like yesterday, I invited a couple to have dinner overthere to celebrate their wedding. So, I assumed I will order lots of nice food to treat them, like Shark fink, Chicken....etc.
I have booked a table for 4, when I arrived, the receptionist said our table was on the 1st floor but they did have a spare table on ground floor but is non smoking area. Since I am a smooker but I was not aware that I can have my smoking on the street, then I went to upstair. Once I saw the pepole in 1st stair, I was really worried. As it was so crowded and noisy!!!As I mentioned before, the reason for this dinner is to treat a new weddinng couple, so I would prefer to have a quieter place for them to enjoy dinner.
So I talked to the waitress at once and requested to have a table on ground floor. However, the waitress looked at me and replied to me "NO" in very rude manner. Then I asked her if you can check it again, however, it was very sad that she said "that is only table we have, if you don't like it, you can ignore it."
How can they treat customer like this??????
In my memory, I recalled that all the staff in Fung Shing was polite and professional. But how come now they degrade like this!!!!
The worst part is, that waitress keep looking at me in very rude manner, like want to have a fight with me.
As I knew that the purpose of this dinner, so I just keep quiet and took that table.
I did complained this to the captain, who was working it Fung Shing over 20 years. However, he did not do anything and just blamed on too many customers.
I don't want to be too long, but like other friends' comments from Openrice, if Fung Shing want to be survived, I think they should improve their service manner, people spend money to your shop is for enjoyment, not to make themselves angry.
In the past, I recommend so many of friends to have dinner in Fung Shung North Point, but now I will not.
However, I will still being there occasionally, just for my recall of some of my family memebers who are not in HK or pass away......
