As everyone know, Kowloon city is an area known for their Thai and Vietnam food. It will hardly go wrong if i need to find a decent restaurant here. As my wife has just been posted to Kowloon city for work, i decided to meet up with her for dinner after her work. Cambo restaurant is one of those pioneer Thai restaurants that first ventured into Kowloon City. Even though their forte lie in Thai cuisine, but they do serve Vietnamese food to an extent. The menu was so comprehensive that i took a long time deciding what to eat.

Iced longan - It was served in a tall glass with plenty of longan. The size of longan is slightly smaller than usual though. The longan meat is slightly softer and the drink was not that sweet.

Fried clams with chilli paste - This dish is extremely flavourful.  Even though the portion was not that big, but the size of each clam was quite big and fat. The clam has fully absorbed the chilli paste and was very tasty.

Pad Thai - It was not served in typical Thai setting as there is no peanut bits and chilli flake. The taste of pad thai was more sweet than spicy. It was deliberated to adjust to Hong Kong people's palate.  The texture of noodles was chewy.

Deep fried tiger prawn with butter sauce - Size of the tiger prawn was considered big, but i feel that the prawn was quite oily. Using oil and butter to fry, there are pool of oil residing at the base of the plate. As i was more health conscious, i had to use tissue paper to absorb those oil before eating. The prawn was creamy and chewy.
