A decent neighborhood Thai place with quite a few dishes designed to cater to the taste of local HKers but also some very solid authentic Thai dishes presented in hearty portions. My favorite is the whole fish cooked in lime, presented in a fish~shaped plate over a tiny stove: the whole thing tastes sublimely sour, nicely offsetting the fishiness of the whole fish with a medley of flavors including chopped garlic and tiny red thai peppers, and is definitely not for the less adventurous eater. On a not-so-good note, sometimes the cooking can be inconsistent--I have noticed that the whole fish in lime may sometimes be so full of salt and sugar as to threaten to numb your taste buds and at other times, verging on being too light in seasoning. Have also gotten a very watery green curry in the past.
The place is dark and noisy with chatty parties consisting of family and familiar friends, and presents a kind of casual, homey vibe that is quite inviting. Probably best for casual gatherings and not romantic dates. A solid, if not spectacular, Thai food option for casual eats.
