I was really happy to be here and invited my friend to walk all the way here from pier to try it out. When I was trying to order, the young lady owner looked extremely pissed when I asked about the cakes - in fact, I simply asked about two flavours, and it took like 15 seconds? When I was asking I was smiling happily because I was really happy to be there and I was excited to see my friend. She rolled her eyes and acted like she didn’t want me in the cafe at all. She didn’t speak a word and then after a while the male employee next to her answered me. So imagine my shock.
本來很興奮來第一次嘗試，還叫我朋友老遠從碼頭行過來。我嘗試下單嘅時候，因為想問清楚幾款蛋糕其實係點樣（係雪芳蛋糕定實心），女店員（應該係老闆？ ）好唔耐煩，仲蹬大隻眼，好似想話「你冇問題呀嗎」然後仲反白眼一言不發，喺旁邊男店員（好像是他先生）立刻幫忙回答。女店員嘅態度好似佢根本唔想我嚟幫襯咁。
I have lived on the island for 2 months now and loving the community vibe and how friendly people are. I thought the whole idea of being an islander is to slow down and relax. There are many empty tables in the cafe so they are not busy at all so I honestly do not understand the attitude. I am literally shocked and thought I just went to an overrated cafe in Central on a weekday lunch.
我其實嚟咗離度住兩個月，好鍾意社區嘅感覺，喺我心目中，做島上人其實就係可以慢下來同埋放鬆一啲。當時咖啡室其實有好多空枱，所以佢哋一啲都唔忙，而我嘅問題都係花咗佢哋大概30秒？我完全唔明白佢嘅態度，我都覺得幾驚訝同埋以為我去咗中環嗰啲得個名嘅咖啡室。
If you are looking for a nice little cafe to chill on the weekends for an afternoon, go to Island Workbench near the temple, or Rainbow Cafe near the Pier. People are genuinely a lot nicer and they serve much better food.There’s absolutely no need to come here to be treated this way.
如果你想搵一間可以週末俾你放鬆一個下午嘅咖啡室，可以選擇天后廟附近嘅島中坊妍或者碼頭附近嘅彩虹咖啡室。嗰度啲人全部都好友善，同埋有更加好嘅食物。冇必要來受氣
