We haven't been to Gyujin for a long while now, and this day we decided to go for a try for some nice quality shabu shabu. It's the authentic taste of Japan that we have missed, which seems so nostalgic to us especially now with Tokyo Olympic 2020 going on.The place was spacious and we were seated at a comfortable booth, which was very near to the self-serve area. There were a lot to choose from at the self-serving area, which was quite clean and organized. Luckily, there weren't a lot of customers so it was not overly crowded in the public self-help area.
The seafood platter was included in the set and there were squid, octopus, cuttlefish and other seafood.
Very nice add-on to the shabu shabu pot indeed! They were fresh and clean while served as well.
Pork and beef provided were all very fresh and has a nice proportion.
Japanese Ramune soft drink - a very nostalgic and playful little drink that I have not tried in a long long time. We loved it when we were small cause it was so interesting like a toy!
There were four kinds of Haagen Daz ice cream to choose from, and they are Strawberry & cream, Mango & cream, Caramel & Biscuits and Coffee flavor. When there are a lot of people, you might have to queue for a bit for the ice cream but it was certainly worth it!
"BE HAPPY" was the latest slogan of the restaurant and all waiters were chanting it while new customers were coming in. It felt so nice and warm and created a harmonious typical Japanese restaurant vibe. It was certainly an enjoyable lunch!
