Before coming here I have never really gone so high up to this restaurant. I never knew there is this cafe high up on the 11th floor. There were quite a number of customers there before i came. The place looks nice and clean. If you sit next to the window, you can also have a glimpse of the night view. Anyway, we got seated at the sofa. There are quite many choices of main courses. Anyway, we got seated at the sofa. There are quite many choices of main courses. In particular, we really wanted to try the lamb chop and the squid ink noodles. To complete the meal, we also upgraded the set with soup, bread and drinks for another 45hkd.
We waited for only around 5-10 minutes and the we were first served with the bread and the soup. The bread was nicely heated, soft and buttery. That goes extremely well with the mushroom cream soup. When we were served with the soup, we were surprised to see the beautifully drawn hearts on the soup. That’s really sweet of them!
When it comes to the lamb, it was served almost right after we finished the soup. We were served with both mustard and mint jelly. The lamb was perfectly cooked to medium rare and the meat itself was extremely tender and goes very well with the mint jelly. The plating is also worth mentioning: all the sauces and dressing are elegantly displayed with a spectrum of colour.
The pasta, in addition, was also surprisingly good. The scallop was extremely fresh and juicy. We thought the serving of both the pasta and the lamb chop were really generous and reasonably priced. We were quite please to have around 4 big scallops in the pasta .
To end with something sweet, we also ordered the japanese cheese cake as dessert. Like all the other food we ordered, the cake was also very well plated with a cute strawberry.
Lastly, the end the meal, our lemon arrived. To our surprise, the lemon tea was also very nicely presented with a sieve to smoothen the tea. It’s really rare for a restaurant to do that!
With such high quality of food and service, it is no doubt I am going to return!
