Met a friend I haven't seen in a while who lived out in the Shatin area for dinner and he ended up choosing the buffet. Guys and their all you can eat?? Like all hotel buffets, there are different stations: dessert, hot food, sushi and various seafood. There were also stations for DIY noodles and DIY quick stir fried dishes. Seating was spacious. Service was fairly good as plates were cleared in a timely manner.
A few of the items we had.
The seafood was pretty good and tasted fairly fresh. But I liked the crab legs the most. The shrimp was good, too. But I wasn't a fan of the cold lobster as it was bit bland.
These were crab meat on baguettes. These were very rich in taste with a slight curry flavor.
Had various items from the hot food section. Notable mention was these cute little eggplant with scallops on top. The scallops weren't overcooked and the eggplant was moist. They also looked cute.
This is something I wanted to mention. They serve roast pigeon at this buffet. As far as I know, I've never seen any buffet serve pigeon. I love pigeon and this was great as it was juicy.
Dessert had a lot of different cakes and various macarons. But I think the only thing that I liked was the mini lemon meringue. Perfect small bite sized bits of lemony awesomeness.
I noted that food items were refilled on a timely manner. So nothing is ever left bare. Quiet hotel so you don't have to talk too loudly nor have to fight to get food as it's not too crowded. A fairly decent choice if you live in the general area and have a craving for a buffet.
