Today is cold and damp so I think the best way to start working in the New Year is to have some Indian food. I therefore tried this restaurant today with my red pocket money. In general I find their buffet acceptable. In general I find their buffet acceptable. It is not the best (JxJx has better variety and more chunks of meat) but probably the cheapest in the area. I have tried the following food:
Samosa: Freshly made and authentic. The wrapping is thick (made of potato flour and not the wonton wrapping in other local curry house) and the vege filling piping hot. The size of each samosa is big too. Very fulfilling indeed.
Bean and vege soup: Very thick soup and slightly spicy. Good for cold weather like today.
Lamb salad: The lamb is not of good quality. It is not soft enough but the spicy taste is tentalising.
Chicken tikka: It is as good as in other Indian restaurants. The taste of charcoal broiled yoghurt is always appealing to me.
Indian sausage: It is soft and tasty (like tandoori). Delicious!
Curry lamb: I have to give it a cross as the lamb is not succulent, it is fat and not tasty. the curry sauce is also disappointing.
Long rice: Herbs are added so it tastes Indian.
Dessert: The ball in syrup is well made. The sponge ball has a good milky taste. Though this maybe too sweet to others.
Mesala tea (Indian herbal milk tea): Quite strong and delicious.
The services of the restaurant are also good.
