We've been to nahm in Bangkok and enjoyed a lot, hence when we found out chachawan's chef worked in nahm before, we decided its a place that we should go try out. Certainly i can taste the similarity (the spiciness and sometimes, saltiness) in Chachawan and very much enjoyed the food there.Indeed the positioning of Chachawan is on the high end side - but I do think its worth the price if you want to try something different - It is not your average thai food restaurant (those that you can find in

We had the extremely spicy green papaya salad (perhaps TOO spicy), something fried egg salad, Gai yung (HKD158), and Pla Phao Glue (HKD268).
Absolutely loving the Gai Yung which was the marinated chicken thigh so tender and juicy, comes with the very delicious sour dipping sauce that I want to have more.
We also ordered to fried egg sour/spicy salad (forgot the name unfortunately, but see pic below) and it was so special (there was something like chinese sausage mixed together, strange but strangely good!) and yummy I am already thinking when I should go back and eat again.
We were all stuffed towards the end of the dinner there was no more room for our favourite mango sticky rice.
All in all, I like this restaurant a lot (i cannot believe I only went there after opening for a year) - perhaps the only downside was the seasoning/sauce mostly has quite a bit of fish sauce/saltiness in it and we were all quite thirsty after the meal. But then its definitely one of the Thai restaurants that I'd want to go back again and again.
題外話/補充資料:
We had to sit on the bar seats as those were the earliest available we can get; it was OKAY, but if you want to share dishes it can get quite messy sometimes (we had 3 ppl and that's the maximum number you should have if you want to take the bar seats..otherwise, wait for proper table)
