Booked in advance for Sunday lunch. Five of us arrived a little early and were seated comfortably close by the open window. The ambiance is relaxing, open, high ceiling, just comfortable overall. Booked in advance for Sunday lunch. Five of us arrived a little early and were seated comfortably close by the open window. The ambiance is relaxing, open, high ceiling, just comfortable overall. Warned that the pizza will take longer time... don’t know why, as it usually takes around 10-15mins to bake. Anyway, first thing first, we ordered the Four Seasons 30 inches pizza immediately, then a few starters and mains as well. It didn’t take long to order as there are quite a few staff, they are friendly and attentive, but not sure about efficiency.

DONKI has just opened right upstairs and a table by the window is just the perfect place for people watching. The kids just remembered to redeem something from DONKI... while waiting for food, they went to the queue for DONKI. Around 15 mins later they came back, so as a jar of beer that we first ordered as soon as we sat down. The rest of dishes just arrived one by one slowly, just a little too slow...we didn’t mean to and just want to eat & go... but it takes almost 2 hours to finish our lunch.

For the Prawn Mango & Avocado salad, the dressing is too sweet, and basically it’s just like Thai sweet chilli sauce instead of salad dressing. The quantity of prawn and mango is reasonable except the avocado, served only a little cube, about 1/10 of a normal decent size of avocado, you can see it on the middle right hand size of the picture. You won’t be able to share the avocado unless you chop this small lcube of avocado into small pieces...

We had the half portion of Steamed Clams. The quality of the clam is good and taste fresh & meaty. Just a little salty for me. The bread on the side is a bit too spongy, would be nice if grilled a little longer for more toastier texture and brushed with olive oil.

The 30 inches Four Seasons Pizza looks quite impressive at a first glance. It was landed on two big cans of tomato sauce. However, it is not what you think after a second look. The serve is just a bit mean, talking about the toppings. The Four Seasons must have been so affected due to global warming. If you reassemble the toppings, you will probably just find 1/2 mushroom, 1/4 artichoke, 1.5 slice prosciutto... not expecting the American style but the Italian would do much more generous than this. The pizza dough hasn’t got much texture or character at all, no such feeling of stretchy, chewy, crunchy crust... 30 inches size poor four seasons just dose not magic.

Beef Cheek Pappardelle isn’t a generous serve either. Beef cheek itself is very affordable and never premium. And the sauce isn’t rich and has no depth at all. It’s just too bland for a slow cook dish like this. The pappardelle is a little over cooked, not al dente.

The BBQ Short Ribs has a nice marinade. The potato chips are fried with batter which gives an extra crunch. The cabbage salad on the side is far too salty.

The Octopus & Chorizo were ordered right at the beginning together with the pizza but apparently it was forgotten. It finally came at the end but was a regret. Should have just given it up and not to remind. Finally something generous, on the potato. Octopus is chewy and rubbery. It’s just blanche and put on tomato sauce with a few dice of chorizo...

I just don’t feel anything special on the whole experience... I don’t hate it but I can’t find any emotion about it... or any reason to go back again...
