Walked past the other shop at Element on Monday but I was too full from my snacks at the Woobar. Learned from a friend that there's also a shop in IFC, so I came by to take a look after work As it was pass 7pm, a lot of the pastries are gone from the shelf. But I managed to see 2 very different looking pastries with only 1 left! Asked the counter staff what they were, and she said one's flavour is pistachio and raspberry, and the other one is raspberry only. So I bought both of them home for
As it was pass 7pm, a lot of the pastries are gone from the shelf. But I managed to see 2 very different looking pastries with only 1 left! Asked the counter staff what they were, and she said one's flavour is pistachio and raspberry, and the other one is raspberry only. So I bought both of them home for breakfast next day
I chose to try the rasberry escargot and left the other one for my hubby so I didn't get to try the greenish pastry that looked not too appetiting but I'm sure it tasted good as my hubby seldom said anything is particularly good
The next morning, when I tore off the tape from the paper bag, I could immediately smell the good butter. I took the time to microwave it for about 15 secs, and it was just plain good. The pastry was still crispy after heating, and I got to taste the raspberry bits (loads of fibre so it must be healthy ) in between the swirls on the pastry. I worried that it would be too sweet from the look of it but no, it was just perfect with the sour raspberry paste and the buttery pastry. And I can't believe it can still taste so good overnight! Definitely worth trying if it's still selling!
