There have been a recent surge in Indian & Middle Eastern restaurant opening up in Hong Kong, and through one of my friend's recommendation, he suggested Tagline Restaurant and Bar. It was a newly opened restaurant, located at Prat Avenue, few minutes walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR.They offered a fusion of Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine, ranging from soup, salads, appetizers, tandoori, grilled items, main course, side dishes, rice, bread, desserts and drinks. Mango lassi was blended till smooth and milky, sweet in taste and have strong mango taste.
Roasted papad - It was made in a form of corn shape, and was very crispy and soft. Spice sauce was provided to dip onto it, appetizing and spicy in taste.
Masala papad - It was deep fried till thin in texture, soft and crispy. Diced tomatos and onion were placed on top, making it juicy and appetizing.
Mezze platter - Since we have been to Middle East before, this dish always appealed to us when we saw this dish in the menu. It came with an assorted range of sauce and cream, with baba ganoush, zaaluk, hummus and tabbouleh served with pickles and pita bread. Pickles were juicy and sour, appetizing. Pita bread was soft and warm, and we palced those cream inside the bread to savour. Those cream were thick in texture and creamy, of a healthy version to me.
Lamb rogan josh - Since we were able to eat spicy food, we requested for hot level. Curry was tasty and creamy, thick in texture. Lamb was cooked till tender and juicy, and was spicy to my liking. Since we have never tried truffle naan before, it was an interesting concept. Truffle taste was strong, complimented nicely with the curry. Naan was soft and chewy as well.
