Got a pretty standard 煎餅果子 from this place, or so I thought. The recipe here is pretty straight forward in a simple dish like this, but for some reason it tastes significantly different here. I think it's either from adding too much 胡椒粉 or 花椒粉, neither of which I'm too big of a fan of. The flavor in this kind of overpowers the rest of the bing, making it not terribly enjoyable.In addition to this, these guys seem to use some sort of fried dumpling skins instead of 油條, which is supposed to give t

Got a pretty standard 煎餅果子 from this place, or so I thought. The recipe here is pretty straight forward in a simple dish like this, but for some reason it tastes significantly different here. I think it's either from adding too much 胡椒粉 or 花椒粉, neither of which I'm too big of a fan of. The flavor in this kind of overpowers the rest of the bing, making it not terribly enjoyable.
In addition to this, these guys seem to use some sort of fried dumpling skins instead of 油條, which is supposed to give the 煎餅果子 its crunch. I suppose it's more practical to do this, since maybe not every store can stock 油條. However, it's something of a downgrade, as 油條 is a lot better.
