I went to Chom Chom alone, having heard so much about it. There was a long line but as I was alone, I was given a very small space between 2 strangers. It was very busy and the staff were clearly overwhelmed. My chicken pho arrived before the spring rolls. The chicken pho was flavourful - mainly because of the lemon grass. I didn't see any other herbs that I could have added perhaps because they were already taken. The noodles were soggy, though - and it was not the best pho I ever had.
The spring rolls which came after the pho were terrible. Small, flavourless and boring. I could not get any trace of pork or mushroom in there. I've had nem which are big and juicy - delicious - but that was not to be had at Chom Chom.
I am not sure if I would go back here - it is a very high stress environment - and not the best place for a leisurely meal. I heard the owner telling some people that their seats would be needed in 30 minutes - they had just entered!!
