We booked to have lunch there at 1:00 pm. However, we could only arrive around 1:30 pm so we called beforehand to ask to delay the booking time by half an hour and they said it was okay. However when we arrived at 1:26 pm, the manager on duty, Mark, said, "Sorry, but you have to wait in until 1:30 pm to get in." He first cited that there was an earlier booking. There was a vacant table with reserve sign there so I really did not understand why he insisted that we had to wait 4 minutes outside.
While he was talking to us, we showed him that in fact it was already 1:31 pm, so he had no choice but to lead us into the restaurant to the vacant table. We were appalled at his service attitude. Even though Shoku has decent-tasting food, we decided not to eat there this time and also probably in the future as well.
Also, I would like to mention that during the whole process, no other customers showed up.
