Unfortunately it falls down, pretty badly, on the food.
Began with an ok soup, slight hint of spice, flavour a bit muddy but ok. We then proceeded to a mixed set of starters including quinoa salad, Brussel sprouts and mussels. All were ok but nothing better than you might get on an average deli counter or buffet.
Nothing stood out as memorable.
The main course was frankly laughable - the presentation was appallingly amateurish, featuring a smear of mashed potato two small, unappetising looking slices of pork belly, two thin, grey looking scallops and a few roasted tomatoes.
The dish tasted as bad as it looked - the scallops were rubbery, almost slimy, had no sear on them and zero flavour. The pork was also lacking in flavour, lukewarm, the crackling had no crunch and the meat was extremely fatty with no rendering. I love pork belly and this was truly appalling.
Dessert was a hard, dried-out chocolate brownie and some chocolate ice cream.
The manager that evening tried very hard to be helpful and service was generally ok, barring our waitress who looked like she was sucking on a wasp throughout the night.
Definitely one to avoid...
