Great congee, not so great noodles

Came here today on a continued exploration of rice noodles around my office area. I forgot about this congee shop on my quest and I was happy to swing by to get breakfast this morning. First off, I've been here a couple times for congee and it's fantastic. The texture is silky smooth and definitely not watery. Very fragrant rice flavored and I highly recommend it.However, this time, I got the rice noodles, and it was quite underwhelming. The noodles themselves weren't very smooth and had no flav

Came here today on a continued exploration of rice noodles around my office area. I forgot about this congee shop on my quest and I was happy to swing by to get breakfast this morning.

First off, I've been here a couple times for congee and it's fantastic. The texture is silky smooth and definitely not watery. Very fragrant rice flavored and I highly recommend it.

However, this time, I got the rice noodles, and it was quite underwhelming.

 The noodles themselves weren't very smooth and had no flavor whatsoever... not sure if they were steamed for too long or they didn't add any oil/fat to the noodles, because the texture was a bit off. The sauces were also quite flavorless too, as I usually get all 3 sauces but it still tasted a bit bland. I've had worse, but this didn't satisfy the craving I had for delicious rice noodles.

Overall, I'd give this shop a 7/10. They ARE a congee shop, which they serve a great bowl. The noodles on the other hand, were a miss.
