There was a lot of hazelnut cream in the centre, and despite being really dense, such that it didn’t even dirty the paper wrapper it was in, it was still smooth and creamy. It also had an adequate hazelnut taste. The pastry itself was quite flaky, though of course, being a cold Danish, it had a weaker butter taste and a lesser crispiness than freshly baked ones. Strawberry Danish
There was a white, really dense, filling in the centre, underneath the strawberries and cream, that was probably cheese. Though I personally prefer the whole filling to be creamy custard, or just cream, this was nevertheless an interesting variation, which worked well. The strawberries were also, thankfully, not sugar-water sweet, but natural. Bread and butter pudding
The portion size was larger than I expected, and it also came with a little pot of vanilla cream, but the latter would improve by being richer and maybe a bit sweeter. The pudding was not too sweet and had cinnamon taste, but I would have liked some pieces of actual bread immersed in it as well. The crunchy, burnt, crouton-like slices of bread at the top were good, and made it less boring. On the whole, I think $14 for any of the above is pretty worth it.
