We came here looking for good dumplings and that is exactly what we got.This is a small, no-frills joint that has a small, but sensible menu. We ordered xiaolongbao, pan-fried pork and turnip buns, vegetable dumplings and jiaozi. Each dish was $20, so we didn't hold back. The dishes came out quickly, but first were the jiaozi and the xian bing (pork and turnip buns). The jiaozi were great and had lots of flavour, but they were outclassed by the fabulous xian bing. The dishes came out quickly, but first were the jiaozi and the xian bing (pork and turnip buns). The jiaozi were great and had lots of flavour, but they were outclassed by the fabulous xian bing. The flavour of the seasoned and moist filling was enough without having to dip them into sauce. They were top notch. Next came the vegetable dumplings. They were alright, but nothing to write home about. The xiaolongbao came last. They were good. Not the greatest, but the quality was fine and the price was great.
The service was polite and fast, but not fancy. We were in, fed and out very quickly. The food was good and the price was better. Worth a visit if you are in Hung Hom.
