Disgusting ice cream. Terrible staff.Was served the bottom of an ice cream bucket by very condescending staff. We came here on a Sunday afternoon craving for a chocolate ice cream.We passed in front of the Dood counter and since Godiva machine was broken we thought 'why not try this one'. We came here on a Sunday afternoon craving for a chocolate ice cream.
We passed in front of the Dood counter and since Godiva machine was broken we thought 'why not try this one'. Because the price was very expensive ($79 for a single scoop vs half the price elsewhere) we asked to try one tiny spoon of chocolate to see how good it is (any other ice cream shops let's you try before you choose) but they said no, sorry with a very cold face. Then the man added 'because of Covid'... He didn't need to add that...
Then I said fine, I'll still give it a try and have a chocolate scoop. He started picking up a bucket of chocolate ice cream in the back room that was almost empty and scraped everything that was inside and then put it on top of the new bucket and kind of slightly mixed it up. Then he scooped exactly what he had put in from the old bucket into my cup... Yuk.
I paid my expensive $79 and went to seat and eat. The first few scooped tested really terrible, and tested more like red bean ice cream I think that was the bit that was old. The last few spoons were ok, I guess that was the new bucket bit.
Then when we were almost finished I spotted the lady staff handing over a spoon of ice cream to a customer for testing. I was like!
This was such a terrible experience : expensive, old ice cream and treated in a very condescending way... I didn't need that
