Recently there have been a lot of solo yakiniku restaurants that have opened. You basically order a set of meat and will come with rice and a side. Prices are not expensive and dependent on the grade of beef. Some are originally from Japan and some are locally owned. Yakiniku 801 is another one and is locally owned. Located in Tsim Sha Tsui, right across from The One, it was bright and shiny red. Definitely hard to miss. We were curious and went in for lunch.Inside there are small tables all wit
This is the Signature 801 (single portion, $198). This had Wagyu Beef Shoulder, Premium Beef Short Rib and Salt Chive Chicken Thigh.
I didn't want rice so I upgraded to Cold Noodles ($38). This came with a bit of kimchi that was not too spicy. The noodles were fantastic. Very springy and smooth. Refreshing with a cold citrusy tasting soup. There was some pickled cucumbers on top along with a hard boiled egg.
A very convenient location with prices not too expensive. Quality was really good as well as generous portions. Will be back.
