Knowing that Times Square have just opened a new dim sum restaurant, I decided to bring my parents there for dim sum today. YUÈ was located at Times Square, Causeway Bay.They served fried and baked dim sum, soup, steamed dim sum, appetizers, rice roll, siu mei and desserts etc. Oolong tea was very clear and refreshing, one of the better quality used.Steamed shrimp dumplings was steamed till chewy and juicy, with huge prawn fillings in it. Steamed shrimp dumplings was steamed till chewy and juicy, with huge prawn fillings in it.
Steamed rice roll with minced beef and tangerine peel - Rice roll was very smooth, with soy sauce provided to enhance the flavour. Minced beef was tender and juicy, with strong tangerine peel taste.
Steamed impossible pork truffle and wild mushroom bun - The presentation of the bun looked like a wild mushroom, which was steamed till soft. The pork filling inside was very flavourful and chewy, with strong truffle taste.
Baked taro puff with scallop - It was done nicely, with the edges of the puff deep fried till very soft and crispy. Taro paste and scallops were warm and soft, very chewy as well.
Deep fried sesame lava puff with custard - The skin of the puff was soft and crispy and when I took a bite, the lava inside was warm and flavourful, with strong egg yolk taste.
Water chestnut cake with coconut sauce - I particularly loved this dessert as the cake was very soft and chewy, with water chestnut bits in it, and coconut shreds wrapped all over the cake.
