I recently had the pleasure of dining out during Easter break, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The evening kicked off with a classic Caesar salad. The evening kicked off with a classic Caesar salad. The romaine was crisp and fresh, perfectly complemented by a creamy dressing that had just the right amount of garlic and anchovy flavor. The homemade croutons added a satisfying crunch, and the sprinkle of Parmesan was a nice touch.
Next up was the soup of the day, a velvety cauliflower creation. It was luxuriously smooth and rich, with a hint of nutmeg that elevated the flavors beautifully. The garnish of toasted almonds provided a lovely contrast in texture.
The star of the night was undoubtedly the crab meat risotto. The saffron cream sauce was decadently creamy, enveloping each grain of Arborio rice with a rich, golden hue. The fresh crab meat was abundant and sweet, while the zucchini and baby carrots added a vibrant touch. Finished with a dusting of Parmesan, this dish was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that I would gladly order again.
Moving on to the main event, the grilled Argentina Angus beef steak was nothing short of spectacular. Cooked to a perfect medium-well, the 8oz flat iron steak was incredibly tender, with a smoky char that enhanced its natural flavor. The flaming cognac sauce added an exciting depth, with a slight sweetness and a hint of warmth.
To wash it all down, the set drink of iced tea was refreshing and well-balanced. It provided a nice contrast to the richness of the dishes and was a great palate cleanser.
