Patisserie Uriwari is a local patisserie that is located in Kwun Tong. They specialize in Japanese inspired French cakes and pastries. A couple of years ago, boyfriend bought me a few small cakes to celebrate my birthday and I found them to be some of the most beautiful and delicious cakes I've had in Hong Kong. Unfortunately, they do not have an actual cake shop and you must order from them via their online website and then they deliver at a designated MTR station for pick up. Website is all in
In honesty, these were not delivered to me but I bought these at an art exhibit for Kokeshi Matches in Little Square Pop Up Art Gallery in Sheung Wan. Patisserie Uriwari was selling cookies, macarons and cakes along with sampling of their cookies for the two day art exhibit. The owner of the patisserie was there and was great in explaining everything to me. I sampled a few of their butter cookies on display (yuzu and earl grey) and found them to be very delicate yet intense in flavor. They also had a chocolate orange cake for sale. But I wanted to buy the sakura financiers. Three for $38. These were limited time only pastries as sakura season is pretty limited as well.
Financiers were packed in a chic black cardboard box.
