As the weather was cold today, my wife suggested to have grilled skewers for dinner tonight. Chuan Wei Xiang was located couple of minutes walk from Whampoa MTR.Evrn though it was just a takeaway stall, their menu was comprehensive, offering grilled seafood, meat, fish, vegetables, rice or noodles, drinks and desserts etc.Fried vermicelli was fried till chewy and flavourful, not sticky at all. Chongqing sour and spicy potato noodle was very chewy and smooth, absorbing the essence of the soup, with strong sour and spicy taste. I chose cheese ball, mushroom and sliced beef as my ingredients. They were tender and juicy, chewy as well.
Grilled pork neck, lamb and octopus were chewy and juicy, with spice powder added onto it to make it spicy and flavourful. Grilled baby cabbage was juicy and crunchy as well.
Grilled angus beef short ribs was tender and juicy, with generous serving of minced garlic placed on top to make it flavourful. It was slightly fatty though.
