SLURP LIKE A BOSS! Back at Mashi no Mashi for some of the best Wagyu Tsukemen and Wagyu Donburi in town 🥩🍜🍚 I just love this place. It’s cool, minimalistic, and only accommodates 12 diners at a time, offering a somewhat intimate dining experience. The service also simple, with an automated ticket machine at the entrance where guests place their orders.Pic 2️⃣&3️⃣: Wagyu Donburi - $180 hkd 🥩— This looks as good as it tastes! Pic 2️⃣&3️⃣: Wagyu Donburi - $180 hkd 🥩
— This looks as good as it tastes! Thin slices of lightly torched wagyu with an even distribution of fat throughout, giving the donburi a lovely aroma. This is accompanied by a warm bed of seasoned white rice and a perfect raw egg yolk that is so rich and smooth and goes perfectly with the wagyu slices. You simply can’t go wrong with these 3 elements combined! I’m drooling as I write this... 🤤
Pic 4️⃣: Spicy Samurai Bomb Tsukemen - $165 hkd 🌶🍜
— A spicy version of their original tsukemen that is so addicting. The dipping sauce for this is slightly sweeter in comparison, but just as rich and delicious. Once again, the wagyu slices are tender and just melt in your mouth. I totally understand why people would opt for an extra spicy bomb now, because it’s so flavourful and adds complexity to the dipping sauce. Really recommend this if you’re into spice!
Pic 5️⃣: Tokusei Wagyu Tsukemen - $150 hkd 🍜
— Arguably some of the best tsukemen in town. Their dipping sauce is a pure wagyu bone broth which is insanely rich. I also love that there are small chunks of beef in the sauce which adds even more flavour. Despite the fattiness coming from the wagyu, this dish doesn’t feel dense, and the flavours are perfectly balanced. The noodles are also cooked to a nice chewy texture. Will definitely be returning whenever I’m craving wagyu and tsukemen all in one 🤩
