Monday is always our night out. My hubby booked Frites through OpenRice with the promotion of All you Can eat Mussels for $195 per person. This is a good deal, right. I have to voice out my concern. If a restaurant is offering a special, they better make it tasty so that customers will come back more for other stuff. If a restaurant is offering a special, they better make it tasty so that customers will come back more for other stuff. If using frozen mussels to keep cost down is the restaurant’s choice, please don’t offer this special. Your House sauce is pure water, a dash of white wine and cream, some bits of diced tomato, onions and is under seasoned. We tried two other sauces, the Provençal and Laksa, and they are also under seasoned. The mussels tasted the same (frozen cooked mussels taste). Frozen mussels just don’t give you the sauce like fresh mussels do. Please have some heart. Do it right.
