I went to BO Innovation with my girlfriend for her birthday and it turned out to be a memorable but horrifying culinary experience.We ordered the tasting and full menu so that we can try and share everything. We ordered the tasting and full menu so that we can try and share everything. The waitress had trouble presenting and explaining each of the appetizers, such as Fois Goie with Black Bean Sauce (yuck!) or Scallop ice cream (salty and disgusting, some combinations are just not meant to be). It seems as if every other dish was served with some kind of jelly with strange flavors. There was even a grounded steamed egg-like dish that tasted like Stewed Pork Belly with Mui Choy 梅菜扣肉 (what is the point of this when this dish is known for the texture of the meat?).The suckling pig was served cold and the skin was not crispy but tough. The fried rice with Durian was the worst fried rice I ever had. The absolute worst dish was Bean Sauce served with Bitter Melon ice. The couple next to us almost had to spit it out. After this I couldn't enjoy any of the desserts.

For HK $2112, I expected a meal that I will remember for a long time. I certainly got that with the worst service, food and value for money in Hong Kong. I am all for innovation, but in this case I would rather stick with the tried and true.
