It has been quite a while since I last visited this restaurent. I used to enjoy the baked porkchop with fried rice very much, which was one of the signature dishes of this restaurent.I went lunch with my wife in this place last week and ordered the said dish. I noted that the price has increased to around HK$100 for a meal set with soup, bread and a drink. I ordered it anyway. The Russian vege soup was thick and yummy but the bread was less than warm. I went lunch with my wife in this place last week and ordered the said dish. I noted that the price has increased to around HK$100 for a meal set with soup, bread and a drink. I ordered it anyway. The Russian vege soup was thick and yummy but the bread was less than warm. And I was really shock when the rice was served - the dish was covered with excessive thin sauce (instead of baked to half dried thick one), the pork looked and tasted like boiled meat (intead of panfried) and the rice was just cooked (instead of fried rice with egg). So disappointed. A similar meal set in City Hall Maxim costs at least 1/3 less and tastes much much better.
I hope it was only an individual event and I would give it a try again later ... I hope I can find the good old taste again ...
