Maybe just my luck but it’s not the first time I’ve had a bad experience with the same female manager here.
We enquired about the unlimited fries option with ribs for the special of the day and we were told by another staff that my party could have unlimited fries without having one order of the ribs each. We were shocked with their generosity, which the manager later withdrew of course, when we asked for our refill, saying that the first staff was new.
On top of that, when we had asked for sweet potato fries to pair with one of our a-la-carte orders (instead of regular fries), we were told by the manager she would have to check if we could change, as sweet potato fries is a different price on the menu when ordered a-la-carte. She went away to “check”, and never came back. Our order came later with the sweet potato fries, and we were a bit shocked to find an extra charge for the swap on the bill. While not a big amount, we would have appreciated if the Manager informed us of any additional charges, as she said she would have, before proceeding to place the order.
Finally, as a member of Frites, my card entitles my bill to have 10% off regular-priced items. This manager came with a bill that took $15 off each dish. I asked why it wasn’t 10% and she said something along the lines that she was confused(?) She’s definitely been here for longer than the first staff... she fixed the bill in the end, elaborating further on multiple membership options(?)
Anyways, food was decent as always. The ribs were juicy, moules frites’ sauce was nice too. Fries were disappointing for the first batch, but the freshly fried refill was nice. Pizza was surprisingly good - first time trying it! Coleslaw that came with the schnitzel was a big hit! Highly recommend the coleslaw!
