As I couldn’t eat raw food for quite a while, my crave had switched to pizza for celebration meals🍕 Falcone was rated “TOP 💯 Pizza Restaurants in the World” last year, and recently opened a new branch in The Peak with lovely vibes. The giant Connect 4 & foosball at the entrance clearly demonstrated the family-friendly style of the restaurant. Yet, the lemon 🍋 & floral arrangement💐 in the centre also added some romantic element to the place. Both branches are currently having buy 1 get 1 free pizza🍕promo for weekday afternoon, but The Peak has one more attractive promo - a set dinner for 2 at almost half price!😍 Getting a pizza & a pasta on the a la carte menu would already exceeded that prepaid price,and so you could count the appetiser as free & without service charge!💰 Their pizza was freshly baked from stone oven, and thus the sides were perfectly burnt. I love the chewy texture of the base, and you couldn’t lie with the dough being made from good quality flour🤤 As long as your food is fresh, ingredients could be as simple as tomato🍅, fior di latte🧀 & salame piccante. Pasta here was surprisingly good🍝 We had one each from the set menu - Penne al Pomodoro was only made of🥫tomato & ricotta, but again the classic combo never fails to impress with the creamy sauce & a hint of basil leaf🌿Another meaty pasta was Rigatoni alla Genovese🥩-using very tender braised beef pairing with onion🧅& parmesan🧀to make a rich, flavourful sauce to be fully absorbed by the rigatoni. It was much loved by the boys😬🧆Meatballs and seasonal salad🥗were both provided as the appetisers in the set. The meatball had a balanced consistency between minced pork & flour, and of course poured in the classy🍅tomato cheese sauce🧀. The salad greens looked pretty fresh & crunchy with breadcrumbs, being simply flavoured by anchovy vinaigrette, capers & pecorino cheese. Last but not least, thanks to the manager’s kindness to offer a complimentary dessert to the birthday girl🎂 The chocolate cake was super rich in texture & flavour🍫that would linger in your mouth for long, and the crème fraîche on the side went perfectly well with it!
