Burgers! Fries! Milkshakes!

All I ate today was oatmeal in the morning, so I was ready to consume some calories!  Burger Circus is a train carriage themed diner with a cute name. My sister commented that it felt like we were dinning at a park on picnic tables. The doors were left open, so whenever a bus went by, you heard it; making it quite noisy.    This aspect made it feel like a train.   It wasn't a big place, but it sure did feel like a diner thanks to the retro decor and clothes the staff wore.   The menu was abo

 The menu was above the bar/counter, and at the table. One side of the menu was a vintage drawing of a circus lady slurping milkshakes, which I really liked! 
 The staff were an interesting bunch; very chill or one might say lacked interest in what they were doing? Ha, but the service was good. They saw that we were sharing, so gave us plates without us asking. Also, I was being lazy and just wiped my finger tips on my the wet wipe my sis was using, and one staff noticed that and gave us more.

 With so many choices of burgers, sides and milkshakes to choose from, it took us a while to decide what to have! 
 This is what we got when we finally made up our minds:

 1. Salted Caramel Milkshake ($58) How can one not get a milkshake at a diner! We were being sensible and shared one. It was a good milkshake, but it had a little too much cream on top I feel. The caramel made it extra sweet, so it was nice to have the salted part to penetrate the sweetness. This sugar loaded milkshake was needed for the sodium loaded burger and fries that were to come. 
 If only they had a peanutbutter flavoured milkshake, I'd visit all the time!

 2. The Flame Swallower ($88) The chicken was mairnated in hot sauce,so it was a little spicy. The chicken was very crispy and remained tender and juicy.
 The bun was toasted, but so soft! All the ingredients were very fresh!

 3. Circus Fries ($38) This was the only side we got. Fries covered in savoury onions and circus sauce was what it was. 
 Even though the fries were covered in so much sauce, they stayed crunchy!
 To me, the circus sauce tasted like something in between thousland island and Mcdonald's big mac sauce, which are basically the same thing I guess. 
 The sauce made this quite an artery clogging dish.

 4. The American Acrobat ($75) We were gonna just get one burger, but you can't really know if a place serves nice burgers until you try a beef hamburger. 
 This burger was so greasy that it soaked the paper box containing it. 
 Oh well, my thought at the time was the soaked box means a juicy burger right? Haha...

 Again, the ingredients were fresh, the juicy beef patty had a nice grilled taste and was cooked just right with threads of pinkness through it!
 I liked this burger more than the chicken burger. 

Final Verdict:
I wanna try the onion rings next time!

    是咁的，知道蘇豪一帶新開一家漢堡店原來就係先前Clockenflap時候有Pop-up攤檔既Burger Circus！當時因為一早就同親友約好，所以無緣去觀賞盛會即是說，我同Burger Circus亦是緣慳一面……店外場面墟冚，只有一條長長既隊伍攝入眼簾唔知要排幾耐隊先可以一嚐Clockenflap時期亮過相既火紅漢堡呢？排左半個鐘多少少，終於可以入座！環境充滿懷舊特色，切合主題，是很美式既感覺不過我就唔多中意近門口既座位事關佢係通洞，唔見有遮蔽既，對住大馬路……真係食塵多過食包餐牌選擇簡潔易明，不過似乎只有英文版只睇漢堡就已經有成九款，仲未計各式各樣惹味配菜及甜品好可惜我冇睇到最底一項，非常特別既碗中漢堡食法唔使另外加錢，但感覺好似好特別，總覺得自己錯過了上桌時，店方用淋膜紙包好漢堡內面光滑，讓包身不會黏附包裝紙之外，醬汁亦未會滲出然後用印有自家標誌既紙兜加多一層保護看上去美觀，拎上手又方便實用，易於進食和避免弄污雙手The Whole Show　$98單看賣相已經色彩繽紛，十分吸引了！更不用提用料中5oz牛肉餅、煎蛋、美式芝士還有醃紅菜頭、生菜、蕃茄配上辣蛋黃醬既大堆頭吧？暖熱

    單看賣相已經色彩繽紛，十分吸引了！
    更不用提用料中5oz牛肉餅、煎蛋、美式芝士
    還有醃紅菜頭、生菜、蕃茄配上辣蛋黃醬既大堆頭吧？
    暖熱即製既足料漢堡，真係連相都差啲唔記得影，直接想大咬下去:^0

    就由雙唇最先碰觸的漢堡麵包說起
    表層感覺頗乾，且不平滑，裂成幾道小縫
    但原來咬落去，係帶點脆口，並且有煎香過既微焦味
    麵包中心部分都係鬆軟綿稔，唔會過濕過乾，嚼下去也帶點麵香及甜味
    煎蛋邊緣金黃帶脆，入口頗香
    完全唔會係嫩滑豐潤，但未會太過乾身，蛋白不叫老韌
    芝士半溶，只有淡淡鹹味，芝士香氣一般，不算很明顯突出

    牛肉餅係紥紥實實既五安士版本
    厚身大方，外層呈咖啡色，稔身不太乾，但當然比內層更熟
    咬開可見中心部分仍是粉嫩櫻花色
    肉質稔身不帶筋，嚼勁不大，算係比較懶人版既
    牛肉肉香不算濃郁厚重，肉汁都唔係好似其他人所講咁濕潤可口，只是剛剛好吧？
    叫人欣賞既係佢油而不膩，調味得宜

    生菜及蕃茄清新富水分，係漢堡配料既常客
    我最中意既都係佢底層，帶紅既醃紅菜頭
    不但沒有不討好的青味，還添上一份開胃解膩既酸香
    紅菜頭獨特味道及香氣猶存，濕稔至一抿即化，卻未至於淋爛如泥
    辣蛋黃醬既酸香當然是個加成
    添了份細滑香潤的豐盈，不太濃稠黏身既感覺令其膩感大減

    整體而言呢個漢堡既配搭固然係不錯
    只係為牛肉餅而試既話我就不敢推薦了
    故作中立地說句：「可圈可點。」

     食到底係見到仲有好多辣蛋黃醬以及醃紅菜頭既醬汁殘留
    食既時候千萬謹記小心行事！

      It just so happens that Boomshack and Burger Circus have both opened around the same time.I was attracted here because of the decor, it would pass as a great diner and the staff are dressed the part.However this place is called Burger Circus so I was expecting more circus like decor such as colourful circus tent decals and elephants decals on the wall.Anyway, as I was having dinner, I only tried the circus fries which were fries topped with savoury onions, American cheese served with Circus sauc

      Anyway, as I was having dinner, I only tried the circus fries which were fries topped with savoury onions, American cheese served with Circus sauce.
      The fries were nice and crispy and the sauce tasted like onion gravy. 
      It would be great if there were more sauce though, the pink sauce on the side is Circus sauce and if I am not wrong it tastes like tomato ketchup mixed and salad cream with diced guerkins.

       Overall the food was ok but the menu and bill didn't state there was 10% which I think they should if they are charging it.

If you plan on going alone like I did, they'll probably have a few open seats for you. The interior of Burger Circus is overall very clean and modern looking. Benches are used as the primary method of seating, but there is a area behind it with stools for around 5 additional patrons with a kitchen. I was sitting in the corner of the room, so the place I sat was a little

      The interior of Burger Circus is overall very clean and modern looking. Benches are used as the primary method of seating, but there is a area behind it with stools for around 5 additional patrons with a kitchen. 

      I was sitting in the corner of the room, so the place I sat was a little dim and even cold (AC was orientated towards my seat in particular), but I'm going to put that up to my unfortunate seating placement. Don't sit where I sat or bring a decent jacket!

       Above depicted was a Cinammon Roll Shake. Think vanilla ice cream, fireball cinnamon whiskey, salted caramel. For the record, they have 4 non-alcoholic and alcoholic shakes. 

      The vanilla ice cream makes a good base flavour with the cinnamon whiskey providing a nice aftertaste, and dashes of salted caramel will be noticeable as well. The drink is actually very sweet, and unless you have a sweet tooth you might be a little surprised at how thick and sweet the shake is.

       I should mention the Circus Burger was recommended to me after I was asked if I liked bacon.
      The Circus Burger, 5oz of beef patty, crispy bacon, savoury onions, lettuce, tomato and Circus sauce, which I think was a pretty good version of something like thousand island sauce. It's a bit smaller than what you'd expect for a burger place (i.e Burgerroom) but it certainly makes up in other ways.
      The ingredients are fresh, and the lettuce is noticeable in every bite. The beef patty is well done as well, is not under/over cooked and juicy.

      The staff at the Circus Burger have a nice attitude and know what they're doing. The wait time for food is a little long, but this is expected of new restaurants before everyone gets into a routine. They have some beers, wine and housemade soda for drinks if you'd like that instead of a shake as well. 
      Pricewise, it's a little high considering portion size but is certainly worth a try!
