My boyfriend and I come here from time to time when we can’t think of anything else better to eat! If you want some good old pho, this is the place to be. It’s a nice cosy restaurant that serves up authentic and delicious Vietnamese food! I usually go for the pho bo with the raw sirloin beef. Flavourful broth with nice yummy meat. It comes with lime and chilli as well to spice up your bowl of noodles. Definitely recommend!

喺首爾讀書嘅時候 ,認識的越南朋友成日話佢好掛住越南啲美食 。其中佢最鐘意食嘅係 Bahn Xeo (越式薄脆餅).... 果陣佢成日俾啲相我睇 話真係好想食 。但奈何首爾淨係得啲韓化左嘅pho食... 離開左首爾, 自己返到香港都會掛念還在韓國讀書嘅呢位好朋友同記得佢成日講想食bahn xeo 。咁就喺上網睇下香港邊度有得食啦 。點知搵黎搵去 唔知係咪pho 太普遍 ... 搵左好耐先得呢間喺上環中半山區嘅越式小店 ,搵到有賣呢種越式薄脆餅嘅小店。呢間小店舖面唔大、座位唔多 ,大約坐得到十零廿個人左右 。開放式廚房嘅設計可以望到越南藉嘅女廚師烹調食物 ,總算係用盡晒店內嘅空間。入到去坐底後睇睇餐牌 ,搵到我想試好耐嘅越式薄脆餅就落單 。另外同行嘅外藉男友又話自己喺悉尼食過bun cha 好食好想食番 — 咁岩呢度又有! — 咁就叫左呢兩樣 ,再加一杯凍越式練奶咖啡解渴。凍咖啡先到! 好濃郁但又唔會太甜。冰涼透心! 要知道越南咖啡多數係Robusta 而且經過dark roast 咖啡本身就係好苦 所以越式滴漏咖啡一般加勁多! 係勁!多! 練奶!去中和咖啡嘅苦味。 呢杯咖啡嘅甜味洽到好

呢間小店舖面唔大、座位唔多 ,大約坐得到十零廿個人左右 。開放式廚房嘅設計可以望到越南藉嘅女廚師烹調食物 ,總算係用盡晒店內嘅空間。

入到去坐底後睇睇餐牌 ,搵到我想試好耐嘅越式薄脆餅就落單 。另外同行嘅外藉男友又話自己喺悉尼食過bun cha 好食好想食番 — 咁岩呢度又有! — 咁就叫左呢兩樣 ,再加一杯凍越式練奶咖啡解渴。

凍咖啡先到! 好濃郁但又唔會太甜。冰涼透心! 要知道越南咖啡多數係Robusta 而且經過dark roast 咖啡本身就係好苦 所以越式滴漏咖啡一般加勁多! 係勁!多! 練奶!去中和咖啡嘅苦味。 呢杯咖啡嘅甜味洽到好處,濃厚奶香又有咖啡嘅回甘。

登登! 男友嘅bun cha hanoi先到 。Bun Cha Hanoi (河內式撈米粉 ) 一上檯男友已經話同喺悉尼嘅越南餐館食過睇落嘅好似... 河內撈米係分湯上 碗入面有烤過嘅豬肉同一啲青木瓜、甘筍、蒜頭等配料。湯汁微溫帶酸甜味,係用黎沾米粉食嘅 。香港炎熱嘅天氣,最啱食清新解膩嘅食物。呢個撈米很合我口味;)

等左一陣之後 我點嘅薄脆餅上菜喇! 嗚哇!
煎得好薄好靚啊!我等唔切要即刻摵少少黎試 ,餅皮薄得黎又有蛋味 仲要新鮮熱辣辣! 個餅夾左啲餡: 芽菜、蝦、豬豬 及洋蔥。雖然有餡夾住 ,但個薄脆皮依然香脆。

我將薄脆餅同餡料加上一齊送上黎嘅芫茜 及羅勒葉 用生菜包著 沾左啲魚露醬汁黎食 。 噢! 一啲都唔油膩 ,仲越食越想食! 好快就成個餅食晒嚕~


店內有分男女洗手間,雖然好窄但好乾淨,又有洗手梘及抹手紙。

埋單210蚊 ,還好。唔算係太貴 因為成個香港可能淨係得佢有做bahn xeo.... 情有可原 哈哈

服務黎講 我要求唔高 有眼神交流有對答就pass 。

後記: 行出餐廳之後我send 左呢餐食物想俾越南朋友 佢竟然問我係咪去左河內
哈哈 下次會再光顧~

員工唔留心聽order d 野食黎到都成肚氣 野食又處理時又不乾淨, 又黎得慢慢個沙津又咸 野食上得又慢慢來d碗洗得又唔乾淨 啲座位又好多污漬物 鋪頭門口又係到清潔劑d污水就周圍都係 野食又處理時又不乾淨, 食物好又咸 野食上得又慢慢來d碗洗得又唔乾淨 啲座位又好多污漬物 鋪頭門口又係到清潔劑d污水就周圍都係 員工洗完d好污穢既野就去整野食完全去到就係白等 價錢又唔係同個質素 成正比我覺得應該要有更好既工作系統 食物整得好求其。

今日中秋節假期,午飯唔想煮,同左老公仔黎呢間試下見到openrice有好多好評,呢幾日成日都去大型商場既連鎖食店,今日要搵番下d橫街小小店支持下先今日叫左個魚紙米卷,法式豬扒包,串燒雞同埋椰青,仲有lime soda. 食物來了,有驚喜椰青係我係香港飲過最大同最甜的(我估我平均一個月都會去下泰越餐廳,去親通常都會叫),串燒雞有味同好juicy! 魚卷等得最耐,但有香茅同唔同香草,食落去都好清新~以位處中半山既小店黎講,叫左5樣野埋單不過250蚊我覺得算係抵食加埋有心小店,會支持喔不過一提,可能是小店,食物款式唔算話太多,但少少地,精緻好味都唔錯

以位處中半山既小店黎講,叫左5樣野埋單不過250蚊我覺得算係抵食
加埋有心小店,會支持喔

不過一提,可能是小店,食物款式唔算話太多,但少少地,精緻好味都唔錯

The pho is pho-nomenal!  Get the gingery broth one, that is the bomb. Great value too, nice and cheap although bottles of wine can get on the pricey side so stick to beers which are quite reasonable. Staff are all Vietnamese and don't speak much English at all (but are nice enough) which adds to the authenticity. Plastic furniture and laminated menus take you to the streets of Vietnam. Love this spot!

中半山原來都有很多小本經營的食店。今天午飯又用openrice的找附近功能,找到這食店。我們二人於約1:10來到已滿座,但等了約5分鐘便有位。負責樓面只得一個應該是越南藉的女士,已先入為主有好感,覺得越南人主理的越南食店一定較好。原則上這小店只得三個員工,一個負責樓面,另外兩個在廚房。價錢不算平,有飯、湯粉、撈檬、越南法包三文治及越式小食等。朋友點了牛肉湯河,她說屬於中上水平,湯味濃,香葉和芽菜等在上菜時已放了在上,牛肉的份量不多但其實也不少。我點了炸春捲撈檬,很好味!配合了碗內的酸菜、青瓜絲、甘荀絲和花生等,十分不錯!飲品方面,我點了凍越南咖啡,有點失望,我個人覺得不夠濃味,但朋友點的青檸梳打則ok。

今日同朋友漫遊中上環,冇目的,帶着小狗在荷李活道一大漫遊,和朋友一面行一面找地方吃午餐,因為帶着小狗,需要找一些有戶外座位的餐廳。一直行到鴨巴甸,被一度綠色大門吸引着,見店內都坐滿人,給店內有一張小桌子,正適合我們可以帶着小狗進餐越南餐廳,我們一定會點清湯生牛肉河粉,牛肉是西冷牛肉,肉淋,湯底濃度適中,不錯。另外點了香草魚肉,魚肉包裹着香茅條,然後炸香,很香濃的香茅味還有春卷檬及牛肉沙律,前者春卷偏味濃但香脆,牛肉沙律酸酸甜甜。所有食物味道大致都不錯,難怪小店都坐滿人順帶一提,他們的薄荷青檸梳打,把薄荷葉打爛,飲入口啖啖薄荷香,不錯的做法

Dec 27 late lunch. My friend noticed this little place a while ago in his daily routine passing by SOHO from home to work and proposed to give it a try. Gained confidence by largely positive comments on OpenRice and Google Map, we picked it for a casual lunch. Arrived at this lovely little place at almost 130pm but still waited for 10-20mins to get seated. Popular! I was excited and adjusted up my expectation on the food. However everything fell apart after tasting the dishes... we both ordered

However everything fell apart after tasting the dishes... we both ordered Pho Bo (beef sirloin rice noodles), the soup was very disappointing... I wish I had simply chosen Bep or even the Pho Bar...

Papaya salad was ok but nothing special, my friend did not like carrots but it comes with quite some carrots... drinks are fine, nothing to complain about the Vietnamese iced coffee and a fresh coconut

I liked the settings at Bun Cha, cozy and unpretentious decor in a small alley. Cool setting for a casual lunch with good friends.The three sisters running the kitchen are obviously focused on their cooking.Nice spring rolls, hard to go wrong with a classic lemongrass porkchop rice.Banh mi was average. Pho was ok, lots of noodles, could be more generous on the meat and herbs. Recommended for a lazy and easy lunch with beer to be concluded with a nice caphé.

Ordered different dishes to try. I liked the pork neck skewers, it's crunchy and juicy. I like the spring rolls as well. Those I really would prefer to have more greens, they're a bit stingy on greens, which is the opposite of the virtue of Viet cuisine. The Banh Xèo was OK, but I can't relate the flavour I had in Saigon. Overall all dishes were quite OK, to compare to those "so-called" top and hit Viet restaurants in town. Those I really would prefer to have more greens, they're a bit stingy on greens, which is the opposite of the virtue of Viet cuisine. The Banh Xèo was OK, but I can't relate the flavour I had in Saigon. Overall all dishes were quite OK, to compare to those "so-called" top and hit Viet restaurants in town. This is quite an authentic Viet resto amidst all the exaggerated Pho fever. Though one disappointment in this restaurant, the Pho Ha Noi was not up to par, the soup was too salty, and I am quite certain they put a lot of MSG, after I finished my baby coconut, I still went through 2 bottles of 500ml Evian water after I had the pho. Pho Ha Noi style is supposed to be milder, but this soup was not. Also, I don't think they use a lot of time to cook this broth; broth is the essence of a bowl of pho more than all other ingredients, so it's a complete failure. To add to that, the beef was chewy, they should consider using some better part of the beef. Having said that, it's true in Vietnam, they do not use better parts of beef for the Pho Bo, but I guess we have to adapt and modify a little bit for our taste. Offering better part of the beef, and charge a little bit more, I think it's fine by me, rather than I spitted out most of the meat in that bowl of pho.

朋友說這是他嘗過香港最好吃的Pho, 於是我帶住幾大嘅期望去試呢間pho。正所謂希望越大,失望就越大,今次尋pho 之旅就有少少失望而回。舖頭地方不大,但舒適,今日天氣熱但呢度冇開冷氣,雖然半開放但都食到成身汗。入返正題,order 咗最 classic 的pho bo (薄西冷生牛河),多蔥。湯底比香港一般大路的pho 清甜, 雖然沒有濃濃牛味,但都唔錯,at least 味精唔勁。牛肉份量足夠,幾嫩滑,可惜好多筋, 所以大部分牛肉𡁻完只能lur 返出黎😫洋葱,蔥同芽菜都唔少,河粉係幼同實淨嗰隻,我自己就比較喜歡闊身好滑嗰種河(曾經喺Melbourne 試過超滑的pho, 香港就暫時只有大角咀某越南小店有呢種滑度)。整體來說此pho 我比75 分。返而今次嘅小驚喜係份炸春卷,咬落d餡有陣海鮮味,點少少枱面支檸檬辣椒醬就very good。如果以食pho 黎講,呢一碗吃過一次就算了。

在墨爾本讀書的6年間,Springvale 越南區是每星期必到的飯堂!回來香港,試過許多家越南餐廳都沒有一家有那個「Pho的味道」,直到找到Bun Cha Vietnamese!這裡的Menu選擇不多,但勝在的「簡而精」!是日點選了牛肉Pho、Fresh Lime Soda 和越南啤酒!牛肉Pho湯底濃而不濁,加點青檸汁就更帶出無可抵擋的「鮮甜」!(幾乎把湯底喝光)生牛肉為西冷,肉質滑嫩,即使浸湯久了也沒影響肉質!*是次紀錄經已是短短一星期內的第二次光顧!The best Pho in Hong Kong so far!

牛肉Pho湯底濃而不濁,加點青檸汁就更帶出無可抵擋的「鮮甜」!(幾乎把湯底喝光)

生牛肉為西冷,肉質滑嫩,即使浸湯久了也沒影響肉質!

It was a lovely sunny Friday afternoon. Located up hill, this Vietnamese was our target for lunch. It's on the same street as PMQ, just the next block upwards which we couldn't miss it. This cute little restaurant serves only around 24-30people full house. It was just after lunch time and so it was pretty empty. We had a table straight ahead. The place looks tidy and clean. We have been craving for authentic Vietnamese pho and shrimp rice roll for quite a while and so we did ordered a beef pho and the shrimp roll as starter to share, in addition with a Vietnamese baguette sandwich, so that we could try something else. 😋😋😋

To be honest, this shrimp roll looked small & thin to me. The rice paper was a bit dry & sticky and wasn't easy to make a clean bite. I simply didn't feel it's sooooooooo fresh. It was just ok 👌🏻

The pho came down nice and hot. It smelled very well. The broth was very good. A very fresh clear soup full of coffee he richness of beef. Not too overwhelming, was right at the point! Very well 👍🏻 the noodle was well cooked, not too sloppy nor hard. So smooth it ran into my mouth. The sliced beef and onions were all in great harmony together. As if they were born to be together and die together. So good. ☺️

The sandwich with pork belly in it, was ok. I just hope there was a bit more sause in it. Simply a bit dry. Carrot, cucumber, salad and etc, all are dry ingredients. I am sure this can get better. It was ok in a good way but can be better.

Overall it was quite satisfying. There's no service charge and we had a nice a quiet place to chill for lunch with no rush. However, it only opens on weekdays. Make sure not to go on weekends. 😆

Not ur typical North American style pho, but the more traditional rich broth kind, beef was good, not overcooked like other pho places I tried in hk malls. The boiled chicken salad was very refreshing, we also had the shrimp roll to start. Portion is good for its value.
