We recently explored the newly opened BAKERY BY THE GRAND at Hopewell Mall , conveniently located near the lift entrance by Ship Street Park. This charming café offers a cozy atmosphere and a delightful menu.We started our meal with the Roasted Chicken Breast with House Salad, perfectly paired with local honey and sweet kumquat sauce. My favorite was their local produced honeycomb. It was a refreshing and flavorful dish! 🥗🍯We also tried the Daily Soup, which was a comforting addition to our meal. For an unforgettable experience, we pre-ordered the Distinction Gold Pigeon for 2—a true culinary masterpiece that was worth the anticipation! 🕊️✨To satisfy our sweet tooth, we indulged in the Lemon and Pineapple Honey Mousse with honey ice cream, which provided a lovely balance of flavors. 🍋🍍🍨Additionally, we enjoyed their latte and americano, both crafted to perfection. ☕❤️After our meal, we took a stroll to Lee Tung Street to admire the beautiful atmosphere . Went to try out this newly opened bakery within this new mall in Wan Chai. The location of the bakery is easy to find and with modern decorations. I ordered an English Breakfast tea ($55) with an Avocado Egg Explosion($88), all plus 10% service charge. The portion of tea provided was generous, one can drink two cups from it. When the avocado toast arrived, it looked stunning 🤩. Somehow, they managed to stack up the rockets leaves and hide the poached egg and avocado within beautifully. It had a generous layer of Parmesan cheese shavings on top. The poached egg was cooked to perfection. The creaminess of the egg yoke worked so well with the slightly acidic dressing. The dish was very delicious. Aside from the taste, I wished the brioche at the bottom could be “bigger” and more avocado would be lovely too. I would say in terms of portion size, this was actually for a lady😅 , light and refreshing. General: the seating was spacious and comfortable, and service was decent. I would definitely come back again to try the pastries (nicely displayed at the counter when I walked into the cafe).
