It’s so hard to find authentic and affordable Filipino food in HK and this place has become my new go-to. Kind staff, quiet and peaceful atmosphere, AMAZING food. After seeing the video on YouTube "Foreigner Tries Filipino Food in Hong Kong", Amore drew my attention and it did not disappoint! I went to Cebu many times and by far Amore's food is as authentic as you can get in the Philippines. I particularly like the crispy pata (crispy pork knuckle) - it's huge and as crispy as Chinese style roasted pork, the stired fried seafood yellow noodle, the dish with dice pig ears, egg plant omelette and the best Chicken Wings!!The staff are super friendly, they serve beer, wine and fresh coconut juice. 中午放飯覓食，又係頭痛之時，決定去某小巷發掘下。看到有間門面看不出賣什麼菜，像西餐既店仔，門口企著位像菲律賓姐姐的積極叫我地試下的佢地既$55 lunch set，呢個set價的確吸引。後來發現這間就是菲律賓菜餐廳，又發現$55 set lunch是asian cuisine，即是普通茶餐，不是地道菜，立即轉軚叫姐姐介紹番地道菜。姐姐開了咩咩log(睇真啲係都係叫xxsilog)的一頁圖片餐牌，指了指受歡迎的菜: TAPSILOG。看那圖片一團黑色的肉，姐姐不說是炒牛肉還真不知道是什麼。還有，難以相信這菜是一道早餐！咁heavy?!TAPSILOG (請看前頁中英對照: 炒牛肉，煎蛋配蒜蓉飯)菜甫放下枱上，飯香撲鼻而來！非常香口的蒜香味！炒飯除了用了爆到啡黑蒜頭，還放了些少的黑椒，帶微的咸香也許是來自的甜豉油。炒牛肉的味道很像用了日式燒汁，而且炒得非常脆，有幾塊硬硬脆脆的，好香口！煎蛋就十分普通。TOSILOG (請看前頁中英對照: 炒甜豬肉，煎蛋配蒜蓉飯)甜豬肉的甜都頗甜，帶點像叉燒醬的味道，其他配菜同上。後來google一下，Tapa係一道菲律賓菜，將風乾或醃製的肉(牛、羊、豬、馬、魚等)去炒或烤，如果配上飯或蒜蓉飯(Sinangag)和蛋(Itlog)就變成Tapsilog (Tap-Si-Log)，也有餐廳叫Tapsihan。而Tosilog的To是Tocino，西班牙語的Bacon，用的是豬腩肉(Pork belly)。這個飯有時有木瓜絲和蕃茄片做伴菜，可惜這餐廳省了餐牌圖中的蕃茄和青瓜(扣分丫><!)，可配茄醬或醋，這餐廳有問我們要不要醋，我拿了用來點肉不錯👍 餐廳還有電視播放我睇唔透做咩勁的菲律賓綜藝節目，還有應該是菲律賓家庭一家六口在我們身後食飯，都是點跟我們一樣的早飯，但他們都對那節目不太感興趣😅旁邊有枱香港人在食$55 lunch set，看來似一般茶記扒餐。下次想食港式的咩扒煎蛋飯時，不妨試試菲律賓的XXSILOG~ 雖然$70無餐飲，但試試人家國菜都好喔，出去灣仔有把飲品店丫~…查看更多

Other than the famous Filipino fried chicken fast food store Jxlxbxx, today was my first try for Filipino food.Me and my colleagues didn’t know what’s special about Filipino food so we decided to go through the a la carte menu. Turns out that we took so long to think over and over again that the lady owner (I think) suggested us to order something from the set lunch menu instead 😂😂😂 Yes I have difficulties in deciding things when there are far too many choices! There were 4 choices (minced pork with rice, breaded chicken with rice, spaghetti and I couldn’t remember the last one 😂) plus a soup (mushroom soup) and drink altogether for the price of $55 only. Great lunch deal 👍🏻 We ordered 1 minced pork with rice and 3 breaded chicken with rice.
