We came to try the shaved ice as we loved it in Bangkok. We arrived at 8:45PM but the last order was 9PM &they close at 10PM. Seeing as the queue for dine in was quite long, we decided to take-away and eat outside. Little did we know, it took 45 minutes though the menu said it takes around 20 minutes from the time of order.
After 20 minutes, we followed up on our food and they kept saying 5 mins, 5 mins. We asked if we could just sit and wait and they luckily allowed. By the time our food came, everyone in line for dine in was already sitting down and the restaurant was only 50% full. We asked if we can just stay seated as the food arrived and seats are available, but they kept repeating takeaway orders can only be consumed outside mind you, it was 30° outside, we've ordered shaved ice and the takeaway was just presented just on a paper plate with no lid. Make it make sense...
The attitude of the staff is ridiculously rude and ruined the experience and their reasoning didnt make any sense. They said they have too many orders to allow ua to change to dine it but the restaurant was already almost empty at this point.
The cafe also located inside a highly advertised pet friendly mall - Airside in Kai Tak but they don't allow pets inside either which is kind of ironic.
Definitely not worth the $138 HKD OR the super long wait as the service made the whole experience bitter, I rather enjoy it again when I go to Bangkok for the lower price & better service.
